An update of sleeper fleet liveried as its been a while. As of today. Half of it done ! Blue slep 563, 584, 589, 616 with 534 on its way to Wolverton to be done. Rfmb 232 not being done, to go off lease, replaced by 217 Tsod 100, 161 both overdue wheel sets urgently awaiting first internally refurbished new vehicle still due February. Green slep 532, 590, 594, 601, 612, 616 and new vehicle when it gets here. Bfo 173, 174, 175 Rfmb 219, 225 Note, once internal refurbishment done, Tourist second open disabled will no longer be tourist configuration so code change likely also Rfmb. 57 602,3,5 new GWR, 604 will get repaint this year and despite suggestions of desert sand, golden ochre and maroon, should stay traditional GWR green Despite incorrect information and speculation on other large forums, told personally by him in charge of fleet things, W43002 is returning in yellow/blue/grey as per my posts elsewhere.

The electrification is behind schedule BUT apart from the DMU cascade, this should not affect us down here what with the AT300 delivery times and using diesel power. The Long Rock improvements are starting next month and so should the first internally refurbished Sleeper stock arrive. Unsure about signalling schedule, being Network Rail's doing. With the IEP delays, we already expect the current franchise to be extended. Will post all info I get as and when but due a frost this week...... !

Dec 18 is the due date for the improvements down here to be done. Half hourly PZ to Ply using AT300s and 158s with 150/2s on branches, no more semaphores, catering on all mainline stuff, Sleeper refurbishment etc.... . But It only takes one big wave !

It will all take time to see the improvements come together. Dec 2018 timetable at earliest. I shall judge some time after then.... !

Well it's Yule and still went and windy at Long Rock. Nothing of note recently except the last Sleeper brake coach 17174 back from repaint last week. First internally refurbished coach now due " February ". It's in writing so must be true....... . Last First kernow Volvo Olympian s are going this week so last chance to catch a proper bus ! More shenanigans..... down Riviera stopped by passenger between Totnes and Plymouth having pulled the communication s chord then detrained himself via carriage window and attempted to gain access to loco cab with comments like " I could do better "...... ! Arrested of course. Arrival at PZ around hour and half late.

Just for the record, thanks to signalling problems on the Paington line, stock used on a PZ turn so 1130 departure was 2 class 143s ! Taken by suprise when they passed, I didn't even get the numbers !

Winter must be coming. 57604 now has a nice new set of ploughs at both ends complete with centre section. Black again. SLEP 10590 back in service later this week in green.

Can confirm now that Night Riviera Restaurant First Modular Buffet 10232 will not be internally refurbished or repainted in GWR green. It is to act as spare until refurbishment programme has ended when it will go off lease. Built to a different batch design with different corridor and toilet Windows, it is expected to be replaced with 10217. Dynamic lines will live on a bit longer !

Not exactly today and maybe should be mentioned in the wiretapped section, but a Cornish Railways tie from the 80s is currently going on eBay....... £100 ! Now, how many have I got ?

Do some of these details matter when they are zooming around your layout ? ! I have not got the newer pc's as what I have does the job ! The interiors of the newer mk3 coaches are all completely wrong and does show however.

Following on, with an ETH cable blowing whilst at OC, LA72 was pressed into service for the Monday night down. 605 and set came down ecs for the up as above post. Today's service saw 604 on a Long Rock to Par return driver training turn leaving around 1000. Possible same all week allowing some winter photos, light loco.

Top and tail 57s for tonight's up Riviera, due on depot from OC 2011...... . 08 410 back this afternoon.

Puff puff may 16 Night Riviera ??????????????? !!! Tonight's up NR will have 43056 and 43161 with 57303 due to an earlier traction motor blowers contact fault on the down.
