Railways. LNER really, but Steam railways.... yeah. Hmm. But I’d be lying if I didn’t admit to being an ex railwayman who can’t ever ignore an interest in current railway matters.
It'd be best to cut down all the self-sowen trees on the lineside and reduce the total leaf-fall that way. Perhaps the Telegraph could have a campaign for it!
And, to placate the econuts, set up poles with birdboxes of varying size to supply nesting sites...
It might also help if trains stopped dumping some unpleasant substances in the "four foot" and the surrounding area - raw sewage from older train toilets, anybody?
