  1. Thanks for letting us know! There's a Bargain Hunters thread where you can post that sort of useful information.
  2. You're thinking of DCC Concepts PowerBase
  3. Have you looked at ModelU's range of figures? Even at 1:76 scale, they have recognizable features, superior to white-metal cast people. We took advantage of their scanning service to obtain figures of friends in their West Somerset Railway working outfits. You could have Clive driving a bus over the bridge!
  4. There are several Class 73 locos in BR blue at Kernow for £85.
  5. Also Kernow have a couple of EFE Hymeks at a marginally lower price.
  6. Less often than a bus on a bridge.
  7. The breasts of a barmaid in Sale, Were tattooed with the price of her ale. And on her behind, For the sake of the blind, Was the same information in braille.
  8. Your photos are excellent -- the result of good lighting. What's your technique?
  9. J Class Tank There's a well-built J class on eBay.

  14. If the bike electrics are 6v, then it's more likely an alternator, with a large selenium plate rectifier to convert a/c to d/c. The alternator is good for 12v, and you can substitute the selenium rectifier for a solid-state one with less electrical loss. A 12v supply will help improve your lighting and you can substitute LEDs for some bulbs, such as the flashers and side-lights.
  15. Use print to PDF, then attach the PDF here. My computer has a 'Print to PDF' option when I choose to print a document from Office. If that doesn't appear on your computer then there are free PDF printers available. A PDF printer is not a physical printer, but a piece of software that converts your Office document to a PDF file.
  16. 1st January 1974. I think it was chosen by Ted Heath as a reward to the electorate for choosing to enter the Common Market (now the EU).
  17. I need some brass bushes for proprietary (e.g. Hornby) loco axles. I think they are 3mm diameter. There are plenty of sources of 1/8" top-hat bushes, but I can't find any for 3mm axles. High Level make hornblocks in several sizes, including 3mm, but what about plain bearings? Am I searching in vain?
  18. The blurry background reminds me of the black & white photos in Railway Modeller in the 1950s and 1960s.
  19. Just add a No Smoking sign to each window.
  20. That plays tricks with the apparent gauge of your tracks. In your second photo, the mainline looks broad gauge with a converging standard gauge branchline.
  21. One definition of a gentleman is someone who knows how to play the bagpipes, but doesn't.
