  1. Has anyone used this company for the purchase of MODELTORQUE replacement motor kit for Lima motors.
  2. Thanks for that Half full been wondering what that was hence I also found several AR1s from Digitraxs and autoreversers .
  3. Can anyone out there identify this box and what is does, it was amongest a railway layout which was broken down after its owner passed away. I purchased a job lot so I have no idea what it is. It has two buttons and leds and two small push buttons. I have had this kicking around for 8 years so I would like to know before I bin it.
  4. I now have the body off and it's a Hornby decoder that has 7 straight connections don't know if it can be programmed as I want to change the lights to show red not white.
  5. Thanks Smoke box I didn't pull front down hard enough to release body off the front first.
  6. Thanks for your quick reply Iain I should have given more details the set is all non powered I have modified the front car to be towed and has kadee fitted but I want to get rear lights to work with dcc decoder, the lights come on when I use 9volt battery white and red when I change battery terminals round and for some reason white lights occasionally come when towed around I the layout. I have tried programmin track on my Lenz 100 but just get error 2. Do I have to undo connector with spring on to release the body which I have started to do.
  7. I have secondhand Pendolino set by Hornby but don't know how to get body off dummy car as I wish to see if a dcc function decoder has been fitted or not.
  8. I am afraid Hornby is not in my good books at the moment, I have 4 Merchant Navy owners with front bogie suffering from mazak corrision with the bogies crumbling away and Hornby cant supply spares nor can any other stockist in the UK. Call that good service with locos over £200, I don't think so
  9. I also contacted Hornby today and was told to send locos back with letter but only the chassis are being replaced but not sure when but I am sure the locos with damaged bodies will be replaced as well. As for my legal advisor, he is a friend of the family so dont get charged. Hope I dont have anymore chassis problems with any other models, unless someone know different.
  10. I have found another two of my Hornby class 31s with chassis rot, will be contacting Hornby later today to arrange replacements, have been speaking to a legal advisor, sale of goods act is the key and Hornby are liable as this is not a one off problem they should have had a recall on all models with this defect
  11. I forgot to ask in my post, if Hornby are not going to replace loco or chassis has anyone repaired the chassis and how was this done. I was think of epoxy glue with some sort of reinforcement but someone might know of a better way
  12. Hi Ravenser 31270 weathered BR blue no 1 end fell off today and I had left body off
  13. Have I missed out but have this problem been resolved yet as I have found another one of my Class 31 fleet with chassis rot. I haven't seen any reports since 2009. If this is still on going its about time it was sorted once and for all with us customers of Hornby getting compo
  14. Being mainly a diesel man I have taken a shine to the latest release from Bachmann with the the Tornado model, is there a sound decoder which would suit this model, and what about a smoke unit too.
  15. What's on your mind?
