  1. I've been noticing, those who've been bashing a certain manager always end up with faulty models from that manufacturer. Very hilarious...! Been noticing a gentleman from this parish whose had a lot to say about a particular manufacturer (most problems are silly), and he seems to always have defective models. Yet those who are of the much happier clan seem to have no issue at all.

  2. Here's an image of the set. Beautiful IMHO, a good starter set for kids... Same old tooling. I'm glad it's back.
  3. And why may I know are you expecting new tooling? Hornby have never stated they're using new tooling anywhere on their website. If any model ever has new tooling Hornby don't shy away from advertising it as such. So why the expectations? I think you'll be disappointed by your own expectations that materialized from something.
  4. "VIEW NEW CONTENT" isn't working today... Gotta look for everything manually

  5. Thanks...Looks lovely! I'd be really disappointed if it's the same old thing too. For a reason, and that because they took too long to determine if their range would sell or not as they said. If there are some improvements I'd be really happy. Judging by the fact that their latest 0-4-0 locos have a new refined motor, I'll be assuming the Thomas range benefits from this also. Sadly the person who took the picture hasn't thought about taking pics from different angles. Love the new packaging
  6. Where is the picture of the new samples?? Can you post a link...?
  7. Well at least they posted a video, I don't think they need any fancy layout.
  8. 10. Latest edition here http://www.Hornby.com/uk-en/news/the-engine-shed/the-king-the-final-chapter/ So far we've had 3 locomotives and 2 ranges of coaches announced so far. This leaves the wagons for December now. I wonder what Hornby has in store.

If you are referring to the simple layout used in the TTS version's video, then I can tell you that it's quite a common sight now. Hornby use it to shoot a lot of videos for train sets. Though a first for a brand new locomotive.
  12. Getting so bugged. It's now been 26 days since Peters Spares dispatched my parcel. I'm pretty sure the postal service has lost it!!! That's a lot of money down the drain.

agree with Teaky. Provided this was bought as a distance sale and you are in the UK the purchase is covered by the Consumer Contract Regulations and the seller is responsible for the goods until they reach you. It is their responsibility to chase the courier that they used and to replace or refund tyou if the goods haven't arrived in the contracted or a reasonable time. Suggest contact Peters

I'm having the same issue with Hatton's - lost package (Yodel this time). They will have to re-ship or refund

  13. Yes, I had the same thoughts. Infact from the side profile, it seems as if it increases.... http://rmweb.co.uk/photos/DJM_Class71/DJM_Class_71_EP1_6.jpg http://rmweb.co.uk/photos/DJM_Class71/DJM_Class_71_EP1_7.jpg http://rmweb.co.uk/photos/DJM_Class71/DJM_Class_71_EP1_13.jpg Doesn't really seem to match the CAD http://www.kernowmodelrailcentre.com/Class_71/Class_71_Bodya.jpg

It is on the production version, no idea why. It wouldn't bother me either. It's still a superb model with a perfect amount of detail.
  15. How are you planning on replicating the matte finish diagonal band on the coaches? Just going to use a darker colour or using a darker colour along with matte varnish whilst leaving the rest glossy?
  16. Olivia's Trains now selling a Class 91 and HST respray. Surprisingly (NOT) at a further 80 quid approx. Seems to be the most expensive company to do a respray of anything. http://www.oliviastrains.com/trains/model-trains/Hornby-diesel-electrics/Hornby-class-91/Hornby-class-91-124-in-virgin-east-coast-livery/ http://www.oliviastrains.com/trains/model-trains/Hornby-diesel-electrics/Hornby-class-43-high-speed-train/Hornby-class-43-hst-43311-43312-in-virgin-east-coast-livery/

  18. When Dapol have already confirmed that the BR Blue version will not have one, I doubt you'll have to wait. The said that the wrong body was used for the BR Blue version's painted sample and that it won't be done on the production run.
  19. Have you not seen the EP samples? They speak for themselves...Such beauties.
  20. Yes, an easy load for wagons that can be loaded and unloaded using just a magnet. Thus eliminating the need to take the wagons off the track etc.
  21. Well I too happen to love those older light clusters. And I usually mix up my own paint. It's far cheaper for me. And when I say far cheaper I mean it.
  22. Something that I want to do (only thing in N gauge) for show only and not to run. The light clusters are different, will you be changing those or are you going to compromise on that? If you want those light clusters then buy Hornby's Arriva Cross-Country or GNER HST.
