  1. Sadly was just a single pack of the RTCs when I checked as soon as got the e-mail which went within 20 seconds 😩 Please, please, please Accurascale consider another run of these in due course(?)
  2. One class 37 model that is still missing is the 37/6s with the tunnel lights that were meant to be used on the 'Nightstar' services / Class 373 drags so I wonder if this combination may make an appearance tomorrow as would be new tooling and could be done in both N and OO of course. Other wildcard would a 4REP making an appearance with accompanying 4TC(s) being released under the EFE banner. Outside of that only really expecting new running numbers on things like the HKAs / MXAs / Mk2Fs etc.
  3. It does yes as even if pre-ordered in one go Hornby treats each item as a separate order with P&P charged appropriately … it’s like Christmas come early when the Hornby delivery arrives at times. It is hit and miss as have had 8x coaches in 8x boxes and others 8x coaches in one box (bearing on P&P was charged per item in the later so equated to £30+ for one box effectively …). Come to think it’s one area I hope Hornby do announce next week is a new ordering system that actually works and can merge orders when stock arrives same time to minimise postage costs etc …
  4. Ordered mine from Kernow when I posted the links previous page and received them yesterday. If being sent via Royal Mail then may just be delayed with their current industrial action unfortunately.
  5. I'm not expecting a lot of 'New' toolings from the announcement but I wonder whether some of the TT announcements will be up-scaled to OO so potentials for new Class 37, 47 & 66 models. Steam wise can't comment as not really my area. Diesel / Electric - Class 231 / 756 TFW given their closeness to the current 755s. Outside of this I would expect further runs of HSTs in Intercity, Blue/Grey, GNER and perhaps XCs 'celebrity' HST power car with further run of the sliding door Mk3s in XC. Possibly a few more re-runs of Class 50s / 60s / 67s / 87s / 91s in varying liveries. Wagons / Coaches - Upgraded loco hauled Mk3a/b being released (Or Oxford one) does now seem overdue with the HST Mk3 having been re-done recently (Livery wise Intercity Swallow and Blue/Grey as first releases) as well as further Mk4s for whatever 91s may get released. Not expecting anything new wagon wise outside of new running numbers / livery etc. Wildcard wise I will go for Hornby re-tooling the Class 373 Eurostar to a similar standards as the APT / 80x units (Including the R2-R8 centre cars also) - Seems somewhat long overdue tbh.
  6. Were showing on ModelRailwaysDirect as having some stock available to pre-order few moments ago … https://www.modelrailwaysdirect.co.uk/rolling-stock-freight/Hornby-r60176-drax-biomass-wagon-pack-1-83-70-0698-012-7-era-11/ https://www.modelrailwaysdirect.co.uk/rolling-stock-freight/Hornby-r60177-drax-biomass-wagon-pack-2-83-70-0698-012-7-era-11/ (Also the earlier links for Antics on previous page are still showing stock but maybe a need to phone them and order as does not appear to allow online ordering for these and the number available has been decreasing …).
  7. Also (As can't be found through their website); https://anticsonline.uk/Product/Hornby-R60177-Drax-Biomass-Wagon-Pack-B-Wagons-83700698048-1--83700698068-9-OO_R60177_N108532655 Having just spoken to them myself it does sound like they have some available but restricted to one of each per person and will be on the website in due course once existing orders are sorted.
  8. Kernow showing both packs as being available and in stock for anyone still trying to locate some ... https://www.kernowmodelrailcentre.com/p/74437/R60176-Hornby-Drax-Biomass-Wagon-number-83-70-0698-012-7 https://www.kernowmodelrailcentre.com/p/74438/R60177-Hornby-Drax-Biomass-Wagon-Pack-2-Tier-1-Exclusive
  9. After having given this some thought I'm still frankly puzzled as to the logic of all of this end of the day. I get that it is absolutely brilliant news if you were planning to go down the TT:120 route or have already gone down that route as more choice etc going forward. ... BUT for those though of us who have large scale collections in either N and/or OO I'm just not convinced it appeals. If I wanted a couple of HSTs smaller scale than OO I would simply go to Dapol and purchase a few N ones which are compatible with what I currently own already - No need for new track / rolling stock etc or if I was happy to run something slightly less prototypical length then purchase a couple of Hornby OO ones (Expensive as is but again no need for new track etc). Hornby I feel really need to 'sell' this to people who have no need for TT:120 but have some spare money to 'want to try it' so ultimately, I would probably only consider purchasing having seen it in the flesh first aka in a model shop and then walk out having impulse purchased one of the starter sets ...
  10. Interesting ... Like the looks of the HSTs / 50s / Mk2s / MGRs and tempted for that sole reason alone and not bad pricing either by looks of it. Ok available online only but maybe better way to keep the cost down to sensible levels as not sure this really will sell in its thousands and has to be quite a big gamble initially? Certainly a good announcement for anyone who wants something larger than N yet smaller than OO or like me has suddenly become interested after today in the potential for TT scale. (Also some interesting plans in the free catalogue available on the Hornby site - Class 37s / 47s / LNER HST train set in the next couple of phases).
  11. Yesterday I thought it may just be Hornby branching into kitchenware items with the first being a Hornby branded kettle ... ... Today though would not be surprised to not see Hornby branch into O gauge with a few items 'on their way' ... So I will place an outside bet on an upscaled O Class 87 not forgetting the 3D printed one from Warley a few years ago now. Not sure how it links specifically to the date outside of the last one entering service in October 1974 (Wikipedia).
  12. Just curious to others thoughts / feelings on this subject … Today I received my delivery of Mk4s / DVTs from Hornby which given Hornbys ordering system resulted in 14 separate pre-orders being made for this delivery alone. I am somewhat surprised to see each individual coach arrive in its own individual cardboard box (with postage paid) on each where appropriate (The 3x DVTs being free delivery as above the £50 requirement). Now I am all for wanting to cut down on waste and help the environment etc but is it me or is the sheer amount of packaging just plain wasteful rather than simply a couple of slightly larger boxes also factoring in the excessive quantities of bubble wrap used as well? I’d see the point if each coach arrived in weekly segments but for one delivery in one go its a different matter altogether. This also equated to a postage charge of £43.45 for this delivery (11x £3.95) which seems steep given each of the smaller boxes could fit at least 2 coaches (if not 3) allowing for bubble wrap too. I’ve added photos below (sorry if not rotated properly) to demonstrate but certainly all said and done given me a good laugh but felt it needing sharing as I’m sure it’s not just me thinking it’s wasteful in this day and age when considering this was a single delivery made at the same time …
  13. I wish Bachmann all the best with this but for me it’s (as another member posted earlier) dependent on liveries / running numbers as price wise it does seem rather steep when compared to the competition. That said I’ll pick up the club exclusive in either case as does look an absolutely stunning model.
  14. Very nice but such a great shame to have missed out on them ... Saw the e-mail earlier but expected this was the usual 'pre-order and we'll make the required quantity' as is usually with the case. Well done to those who managed to get these however but I do hope consideration is given to upping the numbers (Or rationing current orders if more than one) as clearly a demand for these.
  15. Just wondering if someone can confirm whether negative test 24 hours prior is also fine for entry or is it vaccine passports only? Only asking as a little confused as seems to be conflicting information on this (Based on the current guidelines) as Model Rail Scotland website would suggest its passports only but the SECC / Gov.scot websites suggests Negative test 24 hours prior are also fine instead of a vaccine passport?
  16. Antics showing the Drax wagons as being available to order (Just done one of each myself); https://anticsonline.uk/Product/Hornby-R60176-Drax-Biomass-Wagon-Pack-1-83-70-0698-012-7---Era-11-OO_N108532654 https://anticsonline.uk/Product/Hornby-R60177-Drax-Biomass-Wagon-Pack-2-83-70-0698-012-7---Era-11-OO_N108532655 Models Railways Direct (As above post) and Cheltenham Model Centre also showing as stocking them but not available to order.
  17. Autoballasters? Some in Irish rail yellow of course so seems logical ...
  18. Can't help but think there was a missed trick with todays announcement in not adding sound fitted 150/2s in GWR / Northern liveries given their recent releases (though may have sold me the current non-sound fitted one in that case as had been waiting in case). Even so looks like it may just be the Intercity 47 and the DRS Club Mk2s this time around ... And maybe a RFD 47 ... And maybe a Petroleum 47 ...
  19. Rather interesting announcement and certainly looks and sounds on a par with some of the competitors announcements of late spec wise so very welcome news. But … … I am rather concerned with just how much these will cost? Given a full functioning, twin speaker class 92 is/was £259 I hope Bachmann do not invariably price themselves out of the market with similar spec being considerably more costly.
  20. Noticed these track cleaner brake vans on browsing the recent USA announcements ... I wonder whether we will see these tomorrow perhaps?
  21. I am somewhat puzzled as to what Hornby are wishing to achieve with this tiering system? From an end customer who pre-ordered with their choice of retailer upon announcement of products and then subsequently had these cancelled due to Hornby having given them a tier 3 rating so would get limited choice of what was available I am somewhat concerned (Or disheartened) that I've received another e-mail this morning from another retailer (Not naming as think its unfair as clearly not their fault) to advise that what I had pre-ordered after having the first cancelled elsewhere and done in good time could no longer be supplied due to the tiering system Hornby have imposed (And affecting numbers re-ordering through themselves). So unless Hornby are wanting to encourage ordering direct (I would if the old 10% club discount still remained admittedly and it was not for the £5.95 postage for a single coach nowadays) I think I will be leaving Hornby well alone in future years. Personally as someone who uses the online method to purchase models more so than visiting a physical shop whether a shop is deemed to be clean / tidy etc to Hornbys standards is a little irrelevant - As long as the model turns up - Is safely packaged - And does not resemble a kit upon opening thats all I expect. Aftersales help and advice is useful granted but for most issues places like RMWeb can offer better help and advice a lot quicker. Not blaming said retailers and ultimately feel they are getting the bad end of this in all but all said and done the nails are being put (slowly) into the Hornby coffin in my opinion / experience thus far. Edit: Clarity
  22. Looking at the Hattons website right now shows no sign of any 'New' Hornby items (Including those that were on there as sold out on pre-order) so I would assume Hattons are no longer Hornby stockists then given the rather wide ranging cancellations mentioned above?
  23. Entirety of my APT order (one of each part basically) with Hattons now cancelled by them as unable to acquire stock for your order. Suspect I won’t be the only one to have had this either …
  24. Had my 7 car APT cancelled as well by Hattons just now (Ordered not long after it was announced) ... Luckily ordered the whole lot direct with Hornby last week pre-empting this may well happen sooner or later. Interestingly I had been keeping an eye on the Hornby site last few months and not long back certain parts were not available yet all of a sudden it was all available for pre-order again. Oh well, That was the last of my Hattons ordered now cancelled which is a bit of shame as in all honesty have had no problems with Hattons until last year but honestly wondering now whether reading a few pages back Hattons are even at fault here or are simply taking the blunt end of supply cuts form Hornby.
  25. None taken, but I fully agree with your comments though. One would think first come first serve in such instances of it being over-subscribed but clearly its almost random as to whose pre-orders are being cancelled when orders need the trim. Outside of just what is going with Hattons and or Hornby its hard to blame one or the other but trust in wanting to order through either is slowly and slowly being eroded away as ultimately its the customer who will lost out.
