Good morning everyone I’m another one who has had measles and worked in a noisy environment, I also have tinnitus, a high pitch whining in my ears, you just get used to it. It’s looking a little overcast with the odd bit of sunshine today, so we’re going to chance having a walk in the grounds of Dunham Massey, with the possibility of a drink and a slice whilst there. This afternoon Charlie is calling round, as he can’t come on Thursday, so I’ve an afternoon in the workshop to look forward too as well. Back later. Brian

Good morning everyone The weather has changed considerably, it’s now wet and grey, although the rain has stopped falling at the moment. It’s the usual Friday activities for me today, a walk to the butchers will take place shortly followed by a quick visit to the Trafford Centre for a few items that I can’t get locally. As for the afternoon, probably spent reading or something similar. At my consultation yesterday, we discussed my latest PSA result (up to 17.i from 14.76) and I was informed that no action will be taken at the moment. Once it hits 20 or more, then I’ll be put on extra medication which they hope will bring my PSA back down. My next appointment is booked for the 10 July. That’ll some come round! Back later. Brian

Good morning everyone A bright sunny start to the day here in the northwest corner of England. I normally drop Sheila off at her Zumba class on a Thursday, but today we’re off to the Christie for my post blood test consultation. The appointment is for 12 o’clock, so there wouldn’t have been enough time for her to do her class, get home, shower and change before then, so no class for her today. My consultations are normally on a Wednesday, but for some reason it’s a Thursday this time. Hopefully we’ll be back in time for a late dinner before Charlie gets here for his afternoon model making session. At my interview for the roll I took in 1990, I worked for this company until I retired in 2017, I was asked what my thoughts were on planned maintenance? My answer was I thought it was essential, if breakdowns were to be kept to a minimum. I was then asked to explain my answer. I simply said, that only a fool would drive about in a car without maintaining the brakes or engine, that was just asking for trouble and even possible costly repairs. Back later. Brian

Good evening everyone Shopping has been shopped and the cupboards are now full, so full that they are positively groaning! As for the weather, well we’ve had a very mixed bag, rain, hail, strong winds and sunshine, sometimes 2 different at the same time. It’s currently blowing a bit at the moment, not quite a hoolie but it ain’t half making a racket and it’s raining too. Thankfully my back is now feeling much better, the aches have gone, but to be on the safe side, I’m going to have another rest tomorrow.
