  1. My Vitrains class 37 with or without sound runs perfect up to half speed , after that it starts to slow down and speed up . Turning the controller back down to half speed it settles into smooth running once again , any suggestions please .
  2. Reply to RAF96 , thank you for your comments . My grandson just wanted to see his Thomas & Friends loco run around my layout , I wouldn't leave it on the track stationary . Just that I haven't had any issues with other DC loco's when testing them . Cheers
  3. Thank you to all for your valued comments .............Peter
  4. Hi smokebox , the Hornby Elite controller will run one DC loco on a DCC system so my query is why will this loco not run ? It will run with a DC controller so should work from the Elite but doesn't .
  5. Hi all , it is DCC ready and runs ok on DC only but will not work with the Hornby Elite like other DC loco's
  6. Dagworth There is no buzzing from Gordon like my other DC loco's do if I put them on the track .
  7. Thank you Lain , looks like he will have to run it on his DC tray set . Cheers.......Peter
  8. I can run DC loco's using setting 0 on the Elite , I recently bought a Bachman Thomas & friends loco ( Gordon ) for my grandson but this will not work from the Elite . It does work on a separate track with a DC controller . He really wanted to run it on my layout , would this be a non compatible issue ?
  9. Ok thanks for your reply , I presume I should be able to read that information . Cheers........Peter
  10. I have recently bought a DVT unit with DCC running lights and cab lights , I have set the address same as the loco so the running lights work with the loco but the cab light function is no.15 which is the spiral valves on the loco . Can I change the function F15 to a different No with my Hornby Elite ?
  11. How do I take the driver's cabs out of a Hornby class 67 to fit into another body without damaging them , are they glued in position or pressed into the body .
