Hi Halsey, Cill is OO, 4mm/ft and sits on a window cill. It's about 6ft by 1ft, with a 3ft fiddle shelf to the right hand side of the window. Don't be fooled by the backgrounds, they aren't real, or rather they are! The backboards to the layout are plain hardboard at present with the window reveals to each side. I digitally replace this with local landscape images I've taken, some from the window above the layout. The engineering staff, passengers and some footplate staff are Dapol with a few whitemetal figures from various suppliers. Most footplate crew and guards are from Modelu, I intend to obtain more Modelu staff as time and finance permit.
Hi
Thanks - I'll do some "people" investigation - I thought the back scenes looked pretty real!
I'll keep watching and may ask more.................

sorry me again - just found your other entries - not ventured into "people" yet where did these come from?
-
"like" simply isn't enough - this is great - any more info and pics?? Scale, layout size - those backgrounds are amazing

I don't know about "n" but "oo" curved points are to be avoided especially set track which in my experience simply don't work

Enjoy your first 12 months - I certainly did - there's LOTS of help on here which helped me get through my first 12 months under similar "newbie" circumstances.
-
love it - thats the first time i've seen/heard this next generation of "playing trains!" - very good!

WOW - great set of photos - very informative - one day...................................
-
last pictures weathering looks good to me - superquick kits are massively improved with careful felt pen application on card edges
keep it up.....................

I like the idea of this apparently more controllable method as my layout has app 30 turnouts within app 60m of track - I'm very concerned about ballasting turnouts - I'm conscious that this was posted a while ago - how durable is this solution over time - sorry if I've missed it from a quick first look but do you paint and/or weather it afterwards or leave "natural".
Thanks

I remain in awe of your knowledge and interest in the detail a good read ................
