  1. OK here is the detail TAM VALLEY - Its two singles and a hex so 65% of £15+£15+£80 = £71.50 plus £5 postage - call it £75 all in despatched same day as payapl payment - PM me if interested. J
  2. Hi, I'm sure its a combination of items to serve 8-9 turnouts Tam valley yes the detail from memory this was in ones and twos - its a bit of a grovel to get the detail but if this is a serious interest I will sort something out. The loco has now gone so I might now remove them. Not pushing (or insulting you) - I'm happy to do this during the day if you are genuinely interested Perhaps PM me?
  3. See photos - self explanatory TRIX and DCC rolling road good for N and 009 (and axle/trailing track) cleaners Wagons (a set of 3 in each) as new in as new boxes - these retail for £50 each set PM me if interested in individual items - I would prefer it all to go together as it saves postage for everyone - all in one go £95 INCLUDING postage
  4. I am slowly shutting down my 009 layout and I know there are as new Coastal DCC frog juicers serving the 8 turnouts on the layout which has probably had only 8-10 hrs use max since installation. If anyone is interested on the basis of 65% of new cost plus £5 postage let me know and I will remove them. Hence no photos.
  5. I've decided to sell up my small 009 layout so have a Baldwin and 6 open bogie wagons looking for a new home - all are as new and in brand new boxes Would rather sell as one item £220 the lot plus £10 insured postage. Will split on the basis of Wagons £22 each and Loco (DCC) as per my independent listing £115 but postage will be £5 each wagon and £7.95 for the loco. Also have some coastal frog juicers wired once and almost unused - PM me if you want more detail I think from memory its enough to serve 8 turnouts - will sell at 65% new cost plus postage
  6. I have just posted this on ebay as I thought RM classifieds weren't working so I'm trying this out............. THIS ITEM IS TRULY AS NEW and I do have the as new box and instructions I just cant get at them at the moment This is a loco I have only had for a little while - its fully tested and runs well I have decided to come away from 009 due to my age and lack of ability to handle small items. I have some rolling stock available as well I can't seem to identify a new cost/value anywhere but I think I paid £180 'ish so £115 feels right. DCC fitted by TMC Post £7.95 and it will be insured EDIT - I've found the box!
  7. Thanks but that isn't any faster than the GM prod. One other issue I have with the GM is if I'm running 3 locos (main up and down going round and round and shunting) if one derails I cant quickly turn everything off to avoid collisions/damage other than switching the whole layout off at the wall socket. I have never played with any other DCC systems so perhaps my criticisms are universal
  8. For someone with my very basic needs at a competitive/sensible price backed by a reputable brand this certainly looks worthy of further investigation Any info on the ease/speed of switching from model to model? Thanks for the info................
  9. .................such as?? I have been busy and got to a point by relocating my base controller and buying a (.75m-2.5m) stretchy coiled Ethernet cable where wireless isn't needed Your "faster/easier switching between locos" point is well made as that is the (only) remaining issue for me with the GM handset
  10. Thanks to all for your input - spend is getting too high so I'm going to rethink my needs - my railway is only a winter hobby so it can wait.............. Thanks again. J
  11. Spend? - as little as possible but as much as I need to hit my minimum requirement - 2 loco at a time wireless handheld control - £500 is Ok as my current stuff should realise £250 Your well intentioned reply identifies my problem in that I want a "plug and play" solution I don't want or need to understand it or to store 9000 locos - I have enough problems programming a DCC chip! Apologies - I didn't think the GM unit would be part of this perhaps that wasn't clear. There is a much better knowledge base here than hours on google will achieve - very happy for a direct suggestion e.g "buy DT602 plus ..............." Then I'm sure the problem will be who has current stock? Thanks
  12. Accepting that this handset is exactly what I want (thanks) - what is the cheapest way in terms of additional bits needed to "make this work" wirelessly I really don't need 90% of its capability just the ability to store 6 locos and operate 2 at a time is all I need after that the simplicity of set up and programming comes very high on the list as I am not an IT expert. I don't want to be altering my layout connections so can I assume that the wires which go to my GM unit (enough about that) will simply transfer to the connections on this one Thanks
  13. Problem solved faulty workaround now sold for £60 "parts or not working". Just need to sell the std GM non wireless system and I can move on to Digitrax A good ending for me.
  14. The on off switch on the unit itself...... I didn't think it was an issue but an earlier post suggested multiple switching on and off might help the screen problem and is has slightly but not fully
  15. This has helped on the switch but not 100% so perhaps its not the screen but the switch - it might be a "project" for someone but not me Apologies for any upset caused it was not my intention
  16. We will have to agree to disagree - I and my father before me have used GM products for over 50 years (I think) lets move on and I will unfollow - no intent to inflame just inform owners of pre 2022 unit or those about to buy S/H I have given GM a chance to resolve this and will report back
  17. Phil, I didn't inaccurately report (vent) anything - I am fully aware of forum rules hence I "cut and pasted" the response in its entirety for the benefit of others - pre 2022 units are vulnerable to non repair and wasted return costs - thats on a industry standard product thats only 2 years old.
  18. Be aware GAUGEMASTER users/owners Copied without edit............ Dear SIR Unfortunately as the prodigy units have been updated component wise , over the years , the only spares that we are able to obtain are for the very latest specifications (2022 onwards ) ,so we cannot guarantee that we would have the relevant parts to repair , your handset , there fore , we are unable to advise as what if any charges would be Regards The Gaugemaster Team Let's hope members earlier "helpful" suggestions work so I can get it working and replace it without delay. Very disappointing from such a strong brand that any pre 2022 prodigy units cant be repaired mine is only 4 years old. Thankfully the main base unit with its wired controller is faultless so all is not lost.
  19. I'm of an age where anything that isn't based on a dedicated unit with 2 knobs isn't going to do it for me Phone/laptop based control isn't for me Thanks anyway though I will investigate DT The Coastal Unit on a previous thread is way out of my budget
