I always spent a lot of time watching Lime St whenever it was at a show where I was, and I have been in awe ever since I first saw it when it was in its infancy at the East of England Showground. My last viewing was at Warley before lockdown and having worked out where it was in the Hall I made a beeline for it and had quite a bit of time in front of it before the crowds built up.
Gentlemen. Thank you for sharing this masterpiece and for your heroics with taking this on the road. It has been much appreciated.
I wish you and the layout all the best for the next chapter and wait with bated breath for the videos to keep us up to date with developments.

Still in the 1950’s the cleaners were still able to think for themselves and rely on common sense and care to stay safe !

The glaring white roofs will soon go, as will the yawning gap between the vehicles. And after a bit of weathering or toning down I might get around to replacing the wheels with Gibson's.
If I allocate them to the pool of 'shuntable' wagons to appear in Stoke C. yard they'll need further work. They're so free-running that otherwise there'd be no chance of operating them with sub-track uncoupling magnets. They'd just run back to the magnet every time you thought you'd just uncoupled them.

When I was experimenting with Dapol Ez couplings on one of my N gauge layouts I read somewhere that putting a small piece of foam between the wagon floor and the axle was a way of overcoming this issue. I haven’t tried this myself but just offer it as a snippet of information that someone out there shared

Railex has been the best exhibition for years that I can get to and as always looks to be an outstanding line up.
With events disappearing and layouts dropping off the circuit due to many factors I’m sure we are all aware of, the organisers must be congratulated on putting this together and working to overcome difficulties presented. Too hot. Too wet. Too cold. We have to accept that there will always be a limit to what can be done - if anything, given that as stated above there is no alternative venue.
I for one am looking forward to Railex24Brian

I am saddened to see this news as Warley used to be one of the highlights of the year for me, falling as it did around my birthday on the 25th.
I say used to be, because I very reluctantly had to stop going 2 years ago as my own ageing and crumbling process meant I was no longer up to the rigours of Warley with all the walking and standing involved, so I have enormous sympathy for the club members who have themselves seemingly reached this point.
Thank you Warley members, both present and past for putting on such a spectacle each year to celebrate my birthday.
