  1. Talking about bees I remember many pages back asking if you was going to model bees when you was planting buddleia on the viaduct. If your now talking hives I’m guessing the bees are on their way. If you build it they will come ………….. Brian
  2. We all aim for perfectly flat track yet the real thing is anything but. l watched a Les Gilpin video this week of trains around Carlisle. The track is incredible and if we modelled our track like that nothing would stay on. Brian
  3. Thank you Ma’am for your service and all you’ve done for us and the world. Like others have commented above, a tear or two has been shed. Long Live King Charles the Third
  4. Always enjoyed seeing this layout on videos on YouTube and now that I’ve found this thread I’ll be following with interest plus backtracking. Brian
  5. Will there be “specials” put on to bring the great unwashed to Little Muddle for their Air Show?
  6. If you’re anything like me if I have a major clearing up session my modelling tends to stall because I can’t find where I’ve tidied stuff away to! Brian
  7. I’m also building a layout and points using British Finescale track but in N. Just grateful that as a geriatric I still have skills and eyesight to do it, but I was alerted yesterday to an incredibly useful YouTube video from James Hilton Custom Model Railways who video'd himself making a point and showing how easy it was. Brian
  8. Yes I think the changes have improved things massively. Brian
  9. Brewery Road as a further option Brian
  10. I bought a small bag for use as ballast on code 40 N track as conventional fine ballasts seemed too course. Like most things I’m pretty sure mine came from Amazon. Brian
  11. Well for Kevin’s sake I hope it’s not “aromatics” from the piggery Brian
  12. Just found this thread. Very nice indeed and will look forward to seeing it develop. Brian
  13. I’ve never heard of a graining brush but a quick Google reveals all as they say. Thanks for the tip Kevin as that looks ideal for painting streaking rain marks down a loco side. Brian
  14. Probably on the phone with prospective buyers Brian
  15. As the fly past lacks symmetry in that there are 3 on one side of the formation and 2 the other I’m guessing Little Muddles Squadron Leader has made a muddle of his navigation charts and looks to be MIA. Brian
  16. That usually means a promotion higher up the pecking order and less work to do until he gets the ultimate promotion to become Lord Chocs Away and spends his days in the House of Lords bars regalling those to old or infirm to escape with his tales that usually began “When I was a squadron leader at Little Muddle …………
  17. Maybe your missing bearing fell through the gap? Brian
  18. Very nice indeed Mike. One thing though I noticed in the very first photo is the siding to the coal staithes. The curve looks incredibly fierce and I wonder if it would look better if eased a touch? Of course this may just be an optical illusion and a trick of the camera such as has been known to seemingly show banana shaped coaches. Brian
  19. In the second picture you lose the tightness of the curve as well as said by the guys above Brian
  20. I have to say your permanent way gang are very neat and tidy workers. When I had to replace a point last year it was total carnage. Brian
  21. Wilfred Mott in Dr Who as well I think. RIP Bernard and condolences do his family Brian
