  1. So todays reading reveals Andy’s been to a show. Andy’s got ideas. And someone mention Beeching. Be afraid. Be very afraid. Muhahahaha Brian
  2. A similar thought crossed my mind the other day concerning the crate. I think the assumption has been that it’s something being delivered to the creamery …….. but what if it’s something the creamy has produced and is in fact waiting and waiting and waiting to be delivered. Brian
  3. Goodness this is getting a bit advanced and technical.
  4. Just watched todays video and I think the embankment faces using the recycled ballast work really well Brian
  5. Nothing to do with Benny Hill. That’s the speed Andy normally works. He forgot to go at the speed us mere mortals work - or would like to work at.
  6. Shorts 😱 Goodness I totally missed them Ray (praise be)
  7. Aaaaaaaaaaaahrg. The crate 😱😱😱
  8. Jigsaws ! Oh that’s one assumption kicked into touch. I had you down as a chainsaw sort of guy 😂 Brian
  9. 5 more minutes dad. Pleeeeeeeeeeeese
  10. That’s not just a tree. It’s a blooming masterpiece Brian
  11. Building kits is my go to when my mojo has gone off. That’s why I’ve far more wagons than I need. I like your idea of moving the tunnel to increase the visible run length. Maybe flattening the curve would improve the visual as well? I would also suggest extending the goods shed line a tad so you could shunt a wagon or two through the shed and unload directly to a lorry or van alongside. Would improve the play element with having to use a cut of wagons to deal with the movement to keep the engine out of the shed. Brian
  12. I was once told to behave by a work colleague. Many many years ago and I remember saying I am behaving but rather badly 😝
  13. Sounds like me first thing in the morning and with a Ooh ya Buddha thrown in for good measure
  14. Doesn’t seem to do a lot so might be the railway equivalent of Trigger’s Broom
  15. Totally agree with you there Gilbert. I atomised a paracetamol the other day trying to pop it out of its packaging. Would have been easier to walk into the railway room and set about it with the Dremel. The other bugbear of course is toddler proof tops. They are not toddler proof they are toddler and pensioner proof. Brian
  16. Gosh everyday really is a school day 👍🏼
  17. Warships on a German layout? 🤔 I’m guessing that was under rule 1 running unless you had Graf Spey, Tirpitz and Scharnhorst of course with a few Mockers overhead
  18. I think a fair few of us on here have piles of crates or similar stashed away and never used. The knack with them is remembering you have them and where you’ve put them. Brian
  19. Oooh I do that as well. I’ve claimed it as one of my (very few) super powers. Brian
  20. This is looking good Andy and hopefully will give you plenty of fun shunting troublesome trucks about. The auto frogs are giving me food for thought as frog power transfer is a headache I’m wrestling with for points I’m building in N where I was planning on using sliding switches with the operating black lever drilled through to take wire linked to the tie bar but there is so little throw on the tie bar I think the travel needed in the switch will be far too much. One observation if I may? As soon as you offered up the Metcalfe stone it drew my eye to the platform surface which by comparison looks very blue. This may of course be an optical illusion caused by the camera, or not enough coffee my end. Brian
  21. With the mention of Port Isaac I was wondering if you and your band will be scanned by Modelu to recreate the Fishermens Friends so you could form a cameo outside the pub?
  22. With this Australian link now surfacing don’t give Andy the idea of an Australian layout ………… Oh 🤔 Brian
  23. Lovely pics Jonathon. Right train company. Right period and that means kettles in abundance. Brian
