@m0rris I don’t suppose the chassis/bogies for the 378 is available yet? Nearly finished painting mine and don’t want to scratchbuild one if I can avoid it! best jon

I really wish I had put in a few orders before I went to the pub! There is nothing left! Joking aside, as with a lot of the people on here, Hattons were my go to retailer for the last 25 years since I first went to Smithdown Road way back in 1998. Their approach to pre-ordering and innovations like the Trunk were really great. A real blow and loss to the hobby and I really do wish the best to all the staff and management.

Class 37, by Accurascale
JerseyJon replied to Accurascale Fran's topic in Accurascale / Irish Railway Models
After thinking I had enough AS 37’s an email from Hattons has resulted in the purchase of 37608 in ROG colours. Looks like I’m on food stamps for the rest of Sept. -

as my yellow one and DRS one are both fully paid for, I hope they are coming by teleporter. 😂 -

I was just thinking exactly the same thing! Argh! -
Retooled 170, 171 etc. would be nice. Although I don't think my wallet or bank manager would agree. 😀

Hi. I just tried to order one but the postage cost is nearly as much as the decoder (£19.95) are there any other postage options? best jon -
There was very little wrong with the old model (of which I have 7) but this looks to take it to the next level. I’ll probably buy the club issue, and I’m still looking forward to my A/S 37/6. I think Bachmann should be applauded for the increased detail, but I was hoping for the 319 in 00 …. Hopefully we might get that in a weeks time with the main quarterly announcement?

The Jersey Railway - Station Plans
JerseyJon replied to scottystitch's topic in Modelling real locations
Hi I'm the chairman of the Jersey Model Railway club - I'd be happy to help out as best I can. If you could be a bit more specific as to what you would like, I can go through our archives and see what material we have available. We might have some maps and plans somewhere in the building or some of our members might. I know many of them (including me) harbour desires of building a model of one of the them - personally I've always wanted to model the Snow Hill terminus of the Eastern Railway - situated in a cutting with a bridge and a building at each end it would have made a great self contained layout! The Societe Jersiaise also has a great photographic archive which can be searched here: http://photographic-archive.societe-jersiaise.org/search/advanced. The Archive also have a number of un digitised records and may have maps or plan available - it might be worth dropping them a line to see if they have anything of use. Happy modelling! I'd be interested to follow your progress. Best Jon -
In the image it looks like the NR version is actually tooled with the blanked out doors and windows - should I get excited, or do we think that they will just arrive with them painted over as usual...

according to the instructions you get enough for 30ins (760mm) of platform (front face only).

47575 went to the scrap man wearing the red and grey parcels livery. There is a picture of it in 2007 still wearing the livery https://www.railwaymedia.co.uk/Rail/Locos/47/i-3bb339Z/. So that is probably your best bet for your time period!

I'm pretty sure Kernow had one in stock the other day, but I baulked at paying £90 for a point and bought a FB one instead!

The nameplates aren’t wonky on mine, as they only arrived on Friday (some 8 months after the loco)....

The wheels on some of my static EFE's would have made Lima wince...
