  1. Hi, Is there any more news on the Radley Models kits. Looking for a 4 car set of Standard stock. Thanks
  2. Hi Pete were the 4 plank rebulids not used for ballast work? The ex IWR one, was it 62888 or something like that was that one amoung the SECR rebuilds? Which wagons were used as match wagons for tube stock. I know the 10 ton Van, but wasn't there a 10 ton open, Any idea which one it was. I did it know a couple of the bolsters were used as tube matches, any ideas what numbers they were? Thanks Gary
  3. Thank you gents, all appreciated. So does the Guagmaster Prodigy system not allow accesories to be controlled from the handset? I know these are basic questions but I am at the Basic level. Thanks
  4. Push Pull coach DS70155 ex SR no 5600 made it to rail blue and even had yellow ends. The Bullieds that survived until 1970 were in maroon with black and yellow lining. These were repainted at Eastleigh as part of a swap for mk1 vehicles to be converted to TC or Reps from memory.
  5. Hi , I know this is probably a question asked by many about which DCC to go for. Many say its best to try to find which one you like. However I feel as this will be a small exhibition layout maybe a specific system will suit. So here is a breif idea of what the layout is and how it operates. Modern image with occasional steam special, but mainly Diesel operated to make use of sound and light functions. Curved end to end layout. Will have a 6 road hidden fiddle yard at one end, coming out of a tunnel into the station limits area. There will be one small servicing siding and one small freight siding for a couple of vans. This will comprise of two platforms with the roads in the middle, with one of the roads leading further off to a single freight online line on a quay with two sidings with points to create a passing loop. The station are will be signalled with Dapol SR semaphore signals and the quay branch with two aspect colour light. I will be using a Model Signal Engineering lever frame to operate the points and signals. For the signals the idea is to link the frame bottom are to a slide switch, so when the lever is moved it operates the switch. Would this work with DCC? There will be one analogue loco and the rest will be dcc. A maximum of 15 locomotives/multiple units. I will have the station and buildings fitted with lights. So with these features in mind is there a specific system this would be suited to? Hope you may be able to guide me. Thank you Gary
  6. Hi, where do you get your wheels from? Is there anyone who makes tt gauge coach wheels and bearings?
  7. Nice job. Some Isle of Wight coaches in the 50's did receive the crimson with waist stripe, but only a few. Don't think they carried it for long.
  8. Hi does anyone know who does transfers for the tare plates etc on the coach ends of ex SECR and LBSCR coaches. I cannot find anyone who does them. Lots of side detailing but no end details? Thanks Gary
  9. Hi does anyone want to buy my model of Mill Hill Station? £100 comes in a 7ft box.
  10. I have building doing a production run of ex SECR Isle of Wight Coaches. I resisted the urge to start other projects, instead sticking to one subject at a time. Coaches at the moment. Moving on to ex LBSCR ones next. Then build up a few more 5 plankers and Medina wharf Wagons. Then the only one I have not built, the boiler Wagons..Then it's onto station buildings. Although there is that part finished SWT Wessex electric I started. Just needs bogies and marker lights figuring out and replacing that duff class 170 motor someone sold me! Lol
  11. Yes I did specify 4mm but nothing has appeared lately. Shame as I have now built 8 SECR comps now 2 middle saloon and 6 end saloon. Found it easier to use a SECR brake for the end Saloon ones. Now I have built 12 SECR coaches and 8 LBSCR's I don't need anymore now .
  12. I believe that Smallbrook Studios now do a kit similar to the 20t Road van that is the slimmer MOD type. Before they produced this I made my own using two LSWR road van kits as they are the standard size road van.
  13. Smallbrook Studios excellent LSWR road van kits. Which can be kit bashed to produce the double varrandah ones.
  14. An example of what can be built using kits.
