  1. Anybody up to much lately... I had a dabble at some bitumen TTA, Hornby conversion and got some PTA/jua on the way.. The yeoman transfers from fox are curiously curved.. Answers on a postcard as to why...
  2. does a 31 sound the same as a 37..?
  3. wow 484 ribs!! I get fed up after 20 !! you should enter the Olympics Grizz! Not sure if you realise but Dapol produce this wagon , it may have saved you cutting all those ribs !!
  4. Preppin up a hanson 59.. Has bif done the sound for a 59 now..? Or is it just a 66.. How different do they sound anyway and should I be fussed. I see its listed on dc kits website but 'out of stock'
  5. A couple of my wagons bowed over time, there doesnt seem to be rhyme or reason to it.. Heat when built..? Being Built in cold weather..? Ive heard burkin say that using to much solvent is a cause...
  6. Let us know what they are like.. I will probably follow you..
  7. Yes using kadees, expensive but worth it. I attached them into nem pockets on the inner wagon onto the body and for the outer wagon I attached them to the bogie using the add on fishtail as supplied with the bogie from s kits. A saisfying project all round.
  8. I took some images online of jya tops code and Sent them to a mate who printed them onto transfer paper. They came out quite well. Would be nice to get the minimum curve script but getting an image very difficult. This completes a realistic stone train from westbury to woking..all I need is a aggreagates 59 to complete the look! Next dare I try an Iia....phew!!
  9. O&K jya nearing completion. Just need to work out coupling arranging.. Thanks to mr heepes for transfers.
  10. Buffers from nairneshire... That reminds me to order some more
  11. Mrl vtg JNA are on the to do list. Handy as they sit on tf25
  12. Yes ive been using the 36-034, perfect so far but some wagons have smaller wheels as noted from the Bible. I see what you mean about the brake shoes - they may have to go. Yes they are same tf25 you have. But better than building white metal ones. I may try some 8mm wheels from Genesis kits, a bit expensive at 8pound for 4.
  13. Grizz , managed to get hold of some Bachman HHA spare bogies without wheelsets..what size do you put in em, ? the Bachman ones I've been using for all of my projects are a bit big as they are fouling the brake shoes on these.
  14. Can you do me some JYA tops code panels please, thanks. Buy you some chocolate biscuits lol...
  15. I need a solution with transfers to badge up as JYA but I may have to compromise and call them PHA by utilising fox transfer pack.i want them looking present day without the yeoman branding
  16. I was looking at doing a TUA which is a longer type of TTA but couldnt find right pipe..it needs to be 34mm diameter.. Il have another look around. Adding to my rake of stone wagons and started 2 more today...
  17. Where Did you get the waste pipe.. What diameter is it.. I Couldnt find the right size...
  18. Excellent finish! Ever thought of getting your work published in the mainstream magazines..? I think theres an avenue for showcasing us real modellers work.- inspiring for others. The mags just seem to be filled with RTR these days and with prices as they are its a good opportunity for other moddelers to have a go.. Its something thats underserved in recent years.
  19. Did tea have tf25 at some point..?? Not sure about ioas.. Ive done some MJA x2 and looking for freightliner transfers.. Getting around to paint the yeoman jya sooner or later
