Wow amazing... Tts been a success for Hornby but I'd always thought for a few years they needed to upgrade their controllers up to higher fcts in number. This thing is quite outside of the box. Well done to them. I just hope it doesn't interfere with Dynamis signals!

well done to Charlie/Legoman.. silly question but I cant see which fct number is the smoke gen configured to ? May I assume the decoder just plugs and plays into a smoke fitted version ie no cv adjustments needed, existing decoder straight out?

Oh dear doesn't sound good . . If it doesn't work at all something faulty. Only suggestion is to do a reset? Otherwise best option is to take back and have it replaced ...

Chap on Facebook has a soundtraxx chip fitted and now his lights are working back to front ie red forward, headlights at reverse.. chip in wrong way or wiring fault? Anyone else encounter problems? Must be easy fix

wow thanks to Steadfast I'm even more confused re the Radio pods and may as well keep my Lima/Hornby ones as they are; I was actually looking over my 'Limby' versions recently which I converted around 2017/18, sound lights etc, a Lima Hanson onto a Hornby chassis etc etc.. didn't stretch to Mr biffo sounds as his wasn't out at the time but used coastal sounds version... I actually thought at the time the Dapol one will be here soon and is there any point doing all this work..? here we are in 2022 and the Dapol version hasn't arrived yet.. lol

Are the radio pods in the correct area on all these types..? Does anybody know.. How did they differ onn all 3 types , if at all?

Thanks. Maybe I didn't explain what is happening compared to what I wanted /expected and comparing it to other schemes I have(they are all different!) But with some experiments combining dabbing f2 or keeping it 'on' I have achieved the effect Im happy with. As I ordinarily had it 'latched' ..this may help other users.

Ok thanks,yes I tried this out but it seems to override the deceleration cv's and causes sudden ,unrealistic stop . First world problems eh lol

Can anyone get a brake squeal sound on stopping? (Like the 47) Is it a CV change or does this sound scheme not have it??

Mine groaned louder than it's sound chip!! It was replaced

using a Dynamis.. only 20 fcts.. ;-[ Researching alternative systems as latest locos are just increasing in functions.. Have soft spot for Dynamis due to its remote control but now obviously things moved on. Any advice on a system with 30loco functions that wont break the bank? One would've thought Bachmann might've advanced the Dynamis by now , in this area.

II have my replacement thanks to quick work from Hampshire models. All running and sounding fine Im new to zimo decoders; does anybody have a cv list .. and some tips on speed set up for lots of growl.. etc..?

I bit the bullet and got one. il make a vid if I can. The motor is quite noisy in one direction,il give it some gentle runs to see if it settles down otherwise obviously it's very impressive..

Had a demo at Hampshire models today.. he just had em delivered .. obviously looks and sounds amazing.. toying what to sell on to raise some funds or just buy it outright.. OR wait for the Accers version..

After reading Rail express article on 59s I decided to break out my Hornby/Lima 59s I dcc'd up a couple of yrs ago and that have been in storage for 2 yrs.. surprisingly they worked faultlessly. I remember thinking at the time when completing them how ironic it would be if the Dapol version broke cover!! As then it was 2018... Here we are in 22'.. those Hornby motors ain't that bad after all..
