  1. Yes! I thought I invented it... LOL. Thanks for the link. It may confirm whether or not I need to buy a laser and try it.
  2. Don't shoot me... I have a Curio and have just discovered the 200 to 250mW laser module. For less than 30 bucks, it appears that we can turn our machines into laser engravers. Another layer of functionality? I think so. I am off to read about laser engraving and the power required, but in the quick look, it appears that these little laser modules will run on 5 volts or less AND fit into the tool holder on the Silhouette machines. More after/if I decide to experiment with this. Comments appreciated.
  3. Well, aren't those neat! Nice work, good thinking on the design. Could you post a pic of what the parts look like please? I can't visualize how the center layer works.
  4. I think that this method is the one to use for styrene modeling with the cutter. Thanks for showing it. The versatility of the layering adds a lot. Now, where to get the 'glue'.
