Question: Am I doing this correctly?
Recently fitted this Tri-ang Princess chassis with new wheels from Markits. However it appears to be shorting out. One side is plain while the other is insulated just like the original set up. There are PECO fibre washers on all the axles, though I'm wondering if it's the crank pins or the valve gear that's causing the short.
I'm still trying to learn my way around of converting older Triang loco stock to work with Markits wheel sets and with very little clear guidance or videos on the correct procedure on doing this, I have to try and solve this myself.
Would someone inform me if I'm doing this conversion correctly or is there there supposed to be a different approach with this?

Hi Andy
Am I on the naughty step again?
The reply box doesn't appear when I look at the Cost of living crisis thread.

Hi Andy, I am not sure where I should ask you this question so I have posted on the relevant thread and am also attempting to contact you here. Please forgive me if either of these or both are inappropriate.
I am attempting to collate a number of images of the Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway which have been shared with me by a variety of people and while reviewing them, I searched RMweb for any supporting information and came across the thread you started about the Smithfield Dual-gauge siding adjacent to the old cattle market in Welshpool. I was wondering whether you might be happy for me to include the photograph which you show at the start of the thread in a blog which follows up my first article about the Town Section of the W&LLR?
Kind regards
Roger

I think that the idiots who design home self-assembly electric fans and write their instructions should be locked away for life in the Tower of London, given only itchy dungarees to wear and forced to listen to Barry Manilow for the duration of their sentances.

Hi Andy,
I recently posted an inappropriate comment on a topic in Wheeltappers that may have been the reason for that topic being closed and removed. Despite all my years as a member I let myself get drawn into making a political comment. I know, l should have had more sense, but please accept my apologies for this and rest assured it will not be repeated.
Geoff.

Hi Andy
Following Content not being received at all.
Hope this is the right way to contact you?
I'm not getting daily or weekly feeds from forums that I follow since about 19th May. My email details etc seem to be correct. I set up a new one yesterday which didn't work either although when I logged in just now I got a notification.
I checked spam in my email program (Talktalk) but nothing there.
Cheers
Edward
