Has anyone ever built a model of Paddington (the station, before any comedian pedants say anything!!) apart from the Ranelagh Bridge stabling point? Of which, I'm sure, there have been several over the years.
Many years ago, there was an interesting small scale model, possibly 1mm:foot ( @Tony Wright may recall better), by a Wolverhampton MRC member with very recognisable card models of full trains that moved on belts. I think it included the underground lines. That's as close as I have encountered, unfortunately.

modern Bachmann offering will be a sharper and better moulded effort than an aged and rounded Parkside offering
Agreed.

How can you guarantee it?
There's nothing to stop anyone building the kit if they want a lower price or a different finish so there's no straw man needed. I can see several areas where the model is better than the kit anyway but people can make their own choices.

Did any of the 15xx panniers end up at Staffordshire collieries after being sold to the NCB?
No, the only very tenuous connection would be Keer Stuart Victory class that ended up with the GW, built the other side of town but the smokebox isn't from that.
-
Rolling along the A50 in Burslem, Stoke on Trent yesterday I passed this smokebox sitting on a patch of green.
It looks GW to me but of what loco type? Brief research comments that the chimney is fibreglass so may not be of relevance.
Whichever way it doesn't seem to have any local relevance so I don't know why it's there.

I'm assuming that some people voted for categories in which they didnt model, as the vote totals are similar in each scale.
Personally, I didnt vote in the N gauge, OO9 or O categories, as I couldnt give an opinion, as I dont model in those scales and havnt purchased anything.
I don't force participants to vote in all categories. In total there were over 7,000 participants.

Apologies for that, uploaded an incorrect file. Will replace when I'm back next week.

The coveted BRMA results are in! It’s been a busy year for everyone with some exceptional quality items which have attracted the recognition of the wider modelling population and they can be allowed a quick look to their laurels. Newer names within the hobby have scored particularly well with their innovation plus strong online information and engagement and the full tables show that mainstream media reports of a decline in the hobby are way off the mark with more producers and more products than ever.
N gauge
TT & 009
OO gauge
O gauge
Overall manufacturer of the year
Innovation and retailer of the year
Layout, Exhibition and Modeller of the year
And finally, our occasional Lifetime Achievment award is given to everyone who has been part of Hattons over the years.
Congratulations to all and thank you for what you have made available last year!
In summary, here's how the overall results looked.

Nothing is currently showing on the Dapol shop under OO coaches Dapol OO coaches which is why I made the comment.
I don't know if it's ineptitude, obtuseness or ignorance but I am forever getting cheesed off with whatever it is.

They currently have no OO coaches at all
I really wish you would spend some time fact-checking yourself so that we don't have to waste time doing so.
Obviously you know nothing about the toplights.

Rubbish. They've produced some excellent OO products over the last couple of years.

Put a cattle creep under the rear line - https://www.modelrailshop.co.uk/p/4233/Cattle-Creep or just do away with the livestock altogether.

This has got to be one of the largest club expansion projects undertaken; excellent!
