  1. What about the 12% final value fee you'll lose? Fair play though, that's a bargain for someone.
  2. In my experience, many folk don't mind delays if they are kept informed of what the delays are. Ie, 'we have such and such problem' etc etc. Perfectly understandable, sometimes, things dont go to plan.Communication is important. Still, I digress , each to their own.🙂
  3. Seems a good few of us then!! Patience is the name of the game it seems.👍
  4. Just wondering, how many folk are still waiting on their 25's ?
  5. Agreed. Flip me, reading some posts on here, it could be made of 24 carrat gold and some would still moan! 🤣 If someone doesn't like the way it's mapped, re mapping yourself is the answer. To the guy above with the slewed bogies on the Colas example, its a non issue,, just remove the screws from the plinth, it'll be fine!!
  6. Whilst fitting some buffer beam pipes to both of mine, I noticed that glue is unnecessary as they are all a snug, push fit! Not often that happens, no faffing about opening out the holes needed here, just excellent quality engineering. This makes removal of the detail easy in the future should anyone wish.
  7. As I said in my original post, "it's not a problem" More of an interest. Having looked other examples of BH points out there, especially the RTR variety, I'm very grateful to Wayne for bringing these to the market and I very much doubt he'll be "pissed off" as you eloquently put it for my mentioning a very minor issue. Thanks for the constructive input though.🙄
  8. Good evening Wayne, I've noticed a very small fault in the 00 kit. Although it's not a problem I thought it worth a mention. It must be said that I've had this kit for a good few months now so I would suspect that it's been corrected since mine was despatched! If you look at the track base and timber in the area of the pink highlighter arrow, the last check rail chair is missing and is only formed under the stock rail.
  9. Hat to be a party pooper but there's another aspect of these new 47's that I'm not impressed with. Looking at the 'samples' of the 57's that are available for pre-order on Rails of sheff, I spied what looks very much like the 20 year old bogie side frames that were fitted to the original tubby duff! I,e , brake blocks that don't line up with the wheels, no separately fitted brake rigging, pipe work etc etc. This was acceptable back then, nowadays, on a £179 model, not so much!
  10. Have to say, those air horn grilles look fantastic! Bodes well for the forthcoming 50.
  11. Whilst I agree, it would complicate the tooling and raise production costs most likely.
  12. Well, it's not too often I post on this board these days but I feel the need to today. I just took delivery of 37419 after not taking a pre-order, (slightly out of my modeling time period) I eventually buckled and found one from a retailer. Wow!! Absolutely blown away by the fidelity of this model, the standard of fit and finish, everything is just perfect. Accurascale continues knocking the competition out of the park and I'm still amazed at how they can do it for the money. Just incredible, please keep doing what you're doing, Fran, MC and all the team Accurascale. Thank you.
  13. Dimensionally, they are exactly the same as 40's and 37's (37's only had them in the nose on split-box examples when built). Class 50 horn grilles are distinguishable by a small flat machined on the side that was provided so as to miss the edge of the opening headcode panel.
  14. They're definitely in the parked position, I have mine plumbed in and aired-up on my cab (50046) and they stop in that position when the operating knob is turned to park. When built, they always seemed to park on the outer part of the screens, whether a result of a differing air switch or the plumbing arrangement, who knows!
  15. Agreed. 401 also had them from new. All of them were fitted for the start of the new May 1970 timetable.
  16. 31135, an interesting BR blue livery odd ball variation! http://www.hondawanderer.com/31135_Gloucester_1984.htm
  17. To save me trawling back pages, what was latest ETA estimate for these please? January or towards the spring? Thanks.
  18. Some more proper vac noise courtesy of 50024 at Paddington.
  19. And I'll bet you'll also fit the earlier type to the pre-refurb examples no doubt! (some of them slipped through refurb with these still fitted, 50005 being one off the top of my head)
