  1. Would anybody hazard a guess at what causes those horizontal markings along the bodyside of the hoppers in the below image? My best guess is those plastic or rubber sheets at the loader that keep the dust down, rubbing along the sides of the wagons.
  2. One nice detail I have noticed on the EE bogies is seeing brake cylinders moulded in full detail, not my pet hate, half arsed/ half relief nonsense seen elsewhere on many models today. A refreshing change!
  3. This may prove a useful tip for AS or others. Back a few pages ago , one owner said he had what sounded like a wheel flat or similar noise. On running one of mine this afternoon, it had a rather evident thump from one bogie as the loco ran! I sat it upside down in my servicing cradle to clean the wheels as by now they were plastered in the familiar black/silvery layer of gunk. I insert wires in the pickups and ran the loco upside down and could feel a definite lump through the cotton bud as the wheel rotated, I then let the motor stop and advanced the wheel to where I could see what looked like a lump of chrome (it isn't chrome ofcourse but you get the idea!) Wearing my Optivisor, I could see something on the tyre, taking a scalpel blade it simply pinged straight off and was a tiny blob of Cyanoacrylate type adhesive. The thump the loco exhibited has now gone! Another thing I would like to commend Accurascale on is the wheels. How do you get your wheels to run so true? Any chance you could teach the other manufacturers your secret please!😆
  4. e He could have atleast got his money back from his initial purchase price though. The 13% seller fee is fixed so he's well out of pocket. Somebody's got a bargain though that's for sure!!!
  5. I see that 55022 Ebay example has just ended. It would appear that the seller accepted £160 as a first offer. So, take away ebays cut will leave £139. How odd.🤨
  6. Just received 2 of my 4. Both of them absolutely flawless and in 100% complete condition!! Congratulations to Accurascale on what is the finest 00 model Deltic to grace the model railway industry. I tip my hat to you (if I wore one).😁 Now, about this Hoover..............
  7. I couldn't help notice yesterday and raise an eye brow of a flyer for a Limby Class 67 from a well known box shifter. DCC ready £175. 😮
  8. My mrs sussed that I'd ordered 10 mk2's last night. The s*** hit the fan. 😲 I've smoothed it over now though.😃
  9. The thing is, you have 2nd radius curves AND lots of detail like the hand brake chains and a whole host of underframe area detailing, you cant have both and expect it to run without issue on 2 radius curves- a Deltic is a long loco and will need lots of bogie swing for that radius which is only 17 inches!! AS seem to be on hiding to nothing here, dammed if they do and dammed if they don't. If you strip off all those parts, I don't doubt it will probably run fine like the Bachmann version does on 1st or 2nd radius train set curves. You could always sell it on and buy some more Bachmann's I guess!😁
  10. I think this is a first for me, willing the start of the working week!!😂
  11. There should be 4 hand brake chains. How many do you have missing?
  12. So I see!😀 I have 5 pages of order history wiped out. I think we may have crashed your site with all the excitement!😆
  13. Probably wont be long at some ridiculous greedy price!!
  14. Nice one!!!! Thanks Fran. Thats gone straight in the Flickr faves.
  15. I don't suppose there's any online? I had a hunt around for some but couldn't find any of number 10 in this condition. I also have #10 on order.
  16. I'm waiting with baited breath for someone to pose one alongside the Bachmann version. You just know its coming!!!😅
  17. Lucky beggar!! 😁 Ill be a long way down the list I reckon!!
  18. Nice work!!! I looked at that job myself many times in the past but at the end of the day, I couldn't be arsed and I couldn't live with the error either and sold all the ones I had years ago. I applaud you for sticking at it, looks well worth the effort!!
  19. Holy smokes, these are shaping up to looking like a lovely model, detail not seen before in 00. You're really showing up the competition, especially at such a low price for what's on offer.
  20. Well thats a nice surprise!!! I see that some of these survive in preservation, does anyone know what heritage lines have them in use?? The SLO looks particularly unusual.
  21. Thank you for the reply and I appreciate the sentiment but I fear they may have sold out by the time the funds are available for a good length rake. Saying all of that though, Ill order a 3 pack from you and see how it goes.😀
  22. Will there be another run of these in the future?
