  1. Probably the way forward. It has to be a method whereby the models details are not damaged if the load needed to be removed.
  2. The burning question I'd like to pose. Has anyone found a way to add a realistic load to the HAA's without casting in the cross-braces in a solid mass/ non permanent bond ?😆
  3. I'm trying to stick to mid to late 80's with a little modeller's license thrown in for good measure where needs be.
  4. Sorry if this has already been covered (ive a feeling it has) ,did the HAA's work with HBA's with the extended tops to the body?
  5. I think AS have been completely stunned with the demand for these and the speed at which they were gone! I've certainly not seen anything like it far as model railway items are concerned!!
  6. They did only seem to scrape the surface of the type, didn't they! Odd really, as I'm sure that more would be equally popular when they released them. C-Rail must be very happy though.😅
  7. I fear you are right. I've been spoilt last few years in having H0 scale intermodal trains in every different flavour out there!! Dozens of differently liveried containers aplenty by at least 3 manufacturers!! I've recently sold the lot to embark on a new layout and finding hard to source the basics such as the above. There are ofcourse modern equivalents, but they out of my era.
  8. Are you st Are you guys still packing pre-orders? Mine is still showing as not packed. Not being a needy git or anything but dont want to miss out, as you say, I notice that one pack of the 7 I have on pre-order is already sold out. These seem to be flying off the shelves!!
  9. I wonder if there would be any market for some more early Freight Liner flats, namely the FFA and FGA? I wasn't interested in them when Bachmann done them, now I am, they seem like hens teeth, which is typical. You can find the 'outer' buffered examples still, but the 'inners' seem non existent. Doesn't look as though Bachmann are interested in doing anymore.
  10. I was rather abruptly told on this board some years ago, after I dared to berate Bachmann's effort, that there wasn't anything wrong with the nose shape🤣. Not by just 'anybody' I hasten to add.😏
  11. I reckon you would run out of cubic metres before you reached its mgw TBH, a 20 foot container has a max gross weight of just over 30 tonnes. That would be alot of Deltics!! Weight per pallet would be interesting, dare say somebody would know, as you say, they are heavy models. Selling my American H0 loco's in the past, I've noticed that an Athearn Genesis SD70 in its large box, similar in size to the ones Accurascale is using for the Deltics, brings it close to 2KG!! They cost a fair amount to post.
  12. You have 2 containers?? 20 footers or 40's or 53's?? Either way, that's alot of Deltics!!! Sort of off topic but applicable, does a shipper share a container with another shippers goods, or is it simply, 'use all the available space'?? The costs involved, I wouldn't expect them to be half full etc.
  13. Absolutely!! Anyway, my apologies for derailing the topic somewhat!
  14. Yes, indeed. I've been here before, had an EM gauge layout for a few years before going over to H0 14 years ago. I'm now going back to UK outline after the hiatus. Kadee's on UK stuff are OK, better than tension locks but abit like alcohol free lager, "it'll do, but its just not right".😁
  15. Don't get me started on that can of worms!!!😆 I am still coming to terms with selling all my lovely H0 American stuff with knuckle couplers and Kadee's and once again becoming reacquainted with our woeful tension lock!🥴
  16. Looking at that, it certainly makes you realise how much and how far we've progressed in model railways!!
  17. Hope so!!! Everything crossed but I'd be happy with almost anything.
  18. Still quite spritely compared with road goods vehicles of the time.
  19. I'm guessing it came down to two criteria, fitted and un fitted, 35 mph for the former and 45 for the latter?? Coal trains as an example, were they all un fitted at that time?
