    Is it me or does other people have problems with Hornby quality control. I’ve just purchased a Hornby large prairie, all fine with running in then suddenly it derailed, investigation showed that the problem was that the screw holding the front bogie had worked loose and become detached from the lock body. Now got to find the missing screw on the layout and hopefully attach it properly but my point is that this should not have happened in the first place and is due to poor quality control!

    I managed to order mine before the site went crazy. Not really right for my layout but who cares,it’s for a good cause. I assume that it’s Dcc compatible and will probably get a TSS decoder for my grandsons entertainment when i run it.

    Managed to order mine, but it took a very long time to process. Don’t forget as well as the NHS it also commemorates the efforts of Captain Tom

    There is no reason that I can see for this and as said it sounds anti competitive. Would thought that manufacturers such as Hornby will not be happy either.

    Spoke to Rails yesterday and was told they are hopeful that some stock will be here by the 20th but whether that means all and how quickly they will be dispatched is anybody’s guess.
