  1. Ow yes indeed my copy’s here I read it drinking my nightly beer The irony of my poem in vain we’ re in lock down ......don’t complain.
  2. Moan and groan and make a fuss talk and rabbit about seeing a bus read your copy when it comes meanwhile sit there on your bums
  3. A certain weather presenter easily viewable on BBC Wales some mornings and evenings was the inspiration !!!!! Now that’s a Minx
  4. Chinchilla dust !!!!!! That’s what the Upton Icon uses (Noisey Welshman to Queensquare) I am assured that he washes it first.
  5. Not sure if this is an area related group, but Cardiff Exhibition would be interested in joining in, contact Graham Tierney
  6. And some demos that might be worth a quick look.
  7. It may be a small one day show but always worth a couple of hours of any ones time. Not to be missed
  8. As has been pointed out by Prof. Queensquare the catering is out of the hands of the exhibition organisers and the school itself, it is run by Cardiff Catering i.e. the catering arm of Cardiff County Council who run catering at all Cardiff County Schools. Following a stuttering start when we first started using the school we have developed a good relationship with the Catering Staff employed at the school, rest assured that the complaints voiced will be taken up with the Staff. However ”Gordon Blue” standards cannot be guaranteed.
  9. We have to accept that Railway Modelling like most other things in life is changing, apparently something to do with progress and ‘tinterweb. In the good old days we went to exhibitions to see layouts and buy things from traders who were there in abundance. The layout element still exists but the general traders that will attend exhibitions are getting as rare as hens teeth because they can sell as much, or more, on the Internet without moving from their shop, or in some cases their lounge. There is a double whammy as attendance at exhibitions generally is falling gradually year on year, and without “punters” traders don’t sell things. If they can be press ganged into attending they will not return in following years if sales are poor. A trawl through ‘tinterweb will show that a rising number of traders have withdrawn from attendance at exhibitions and others have sold their businesses so the available pool is diminishing.
  10. Well the van is booked, not sure we can get it into the car park
  11. And, apparently the horse carts on the layout are the products of the Upton Icon, a must see for all
  12. Watch for the traffic jams on the M4, you have a long journey bringing Sherton Abbas to the show so start off early.
  13. Investigate Cardiff Model Railway Exhibition in the Exhibitions section of this(RMWeb) site, it’s all there !!!!!!
  14. You are not coming back only to play trains you are coming home to get some of The Ferret’s Welsh Cakes - a true taste of Kardiff
