  1. Sorry for neglecting this thread here’s a few photo dumps of layout updates- progresss on extension featuring new laser cut- designed by me bridge, clad in slaters. low relief buildings and hardstanding using plasticard and lighting.
  2. After a busy evening down the local communal workshop got some more boards built up. from 4ft x2ft to 12ftx2ft
  3. ***Disclaimer - i wanted a cheap as chips project for a relatively nice finshed coach - these are not 100% accurate and are more 'testbeds' Hornby teaks from start to finish. Citadel wash to all wood finsish (x3) Roof resprayed in satin white. Chassis and bogies given a dirty matt black paint. Hornby 14mm wheels replacing the chunky wheels. Hornby 4 Wheel coach from start to finish: Roof repainted Chassis given a dirty matt black paint. Hornby 14mm wheels replacing the chunky wheels. Body given a light rub down, coat of ammo mig dark brown followed by a light buff. and then once dry wash applied. Both projects when finished given a once over (Wood finish) with a stiff bristle hair brush to leave a patina.
  4. Picture 1 - hardstanding down. Picture 2 - Comms Mast and locos posing. Picture 3 - overheard photo shot.
  5. Latest project on the layout work bench. Current Board is 4x2 Ft, will be a total of 3 boards. (12 foot by 2) . OHLE Mainline and depot. (Concrete sleeper) All track is code 100 for reliable easy running. Picture 1&2 basebaord. Picture 3 - Trackwork.

  7. An underside shot - wiring needs some tidying up temporary bodge so i could test. Using a A Gaugemaster DCC frog juicer. And a brass rod in evergreen tube point switching mechanism.
  8. A thread for my small but hopefully mighty DCC Self contained layout. Built on two wooden storage ornamental boxes as baseboards- glued together. Backscene made from palsticard airbrushed a sky colour. Low Relief scene to fill most of the blue WIP. A weathered battered old transit from Bunters Yard over on Instagram. Various scrap wagons feature - suitable weathered. Runs using dcc and a dynamis , Current fleet for the layout includes : A sentinel (away for weathering) , An 03 and and 04, and and 08 There is also a scrap handler machine on the workbench from a modified atlas long reach digger. Will add once photographed. Any comments ideas suggestions welcome. Thanks Ollie
  9. Thank you for the image heads up. ive managed to 95% complete one of the wagons using your conversion method. no where near perfect but will fit my small rake nicely. thank you for the inspiration and putting a redundant TTA chasis to use. Next step for me is adding rust!
  10. Hello- Thank you for your prompt reply.could I see the chasis with your added under frame detail? I have plenty of Hornby TTA chasis kicking around and this looks like an ideal use for them!
  11. Hi There, Loving the workbench and have clicked the follow. Would you happed to have any more picures of the underframe -at all please? of the ballast box wagon in the first post, Thank you. I think i have figured out how to replicate but an underside shot would be a great help. Thanks Ollie

  13. 4mm portable building cut using silhoutte cutter mix of 20tho and 10 thou and some 10 tho EMU Cab windows in 7mm
