This application was withdrawn on 27/02 pending the Williams review. ; It does seem slightly odd that virtually the first major change Virgin made to the DfT specified timetable was to insert Crewe calls into Euston-Liverpool trains, suggesting there was surplus capacity in an hourly service, and subsequently business has presumably been lost to LNw services.

A new underbridge was also built between Wednesbury and Bescot Curve Junction to give access to the land where the Lidl distribution centre has subsequently been built.

Needless to say this did not happen. The Crewe mk.3 set was reported working pre-Christmas but I have seen no report of any testing or training with mk.4s. 82226 is in the video mentioned earlier but last night a set with 82229 was outside at Crewe LNW and I *thought* another set inside the shed. The list of non-compliant services on the TfW website suggests the Crewe mk.3 set is to be used temporarily on the morning departure from Cardiff and the midday return.

The box is gaining a panel from 26th March to control the Pitlochry area, although isolated from it by Dunkeld.
