  1. Final batch, starting with the double header going on shed for the night, with 80136 is just visible in front of the diner, and Eric is in the distance with the last train from Whitby, and once Platform 2 was clear, Eric pulled in. Missed the King going on shed for the night, but did see the B1 take its place, And then slogging into Goathland with the last service train of the day. This was the last picture I took for the day as the light was about to fade. So an excellent day of footage despite the weather. I'll be there in person with dad tomorrow, and from looking at the weather, it may just be alright. We'll have to wait and see.
  2. Missed the Whitby set leave, the double header going on shed, and the Hall leaving Grosmont and arriving at Goathland, but I did see the Southern double header leave Goathland, with 6023 hanging off the end, and the whole caboodle arriving at Grosmont 12 minutes later.
  3. Missed the A4 leaving Grosmont and arriving at Goathland, but I did see Eric waiting at Grosmont with the Whitby set while 6990 was in Platform 4, plus the J27 and centurion heading north from Goathland, before arriving at Grosmont 14 minutes later, and 6990 moving round to take the train out again.
  4. Then we had 6990 heading on shed while the A4 prepped itself with the Teaks, before Sybilla removed the GW Saloon from the diner (Guess it wasn't needed tonight), and the K1 after it returned from Goathland, though I missed it leaving.
  5. Missed the freight departure and the King going for servicing, but did catch Eric arriving from Whitby (I'm going with multiple posts due to how many screencaps I took). Again I missed the freight arriving at Goathland, and the King leaving Grosmont, but did see the A4 go on shed, before catching the King arriving at Goathland despite the fuzzy picture (which was just the rain on the lense), followed by 6990 heading north, and arriving at Grosmont 12 minutes later while the A4 waited in Platform 4.
  6. I've also gotten a good few screencaps from today as well despite the rain, starting with the K1 at Grosmont with the freight, with the A4 rolling in moments later, while 6023 was hanging off the rear.
  7. Fair enough. Saves trying to fit a light engine move in. And speaking of the K1, Yep, made sure to get a screencap of the old girl this afternoon. Now we're really ready next week's gala.
  8. Got a trio of screencaps this afternoon after seeing two of the old guard running again. First, 29's back from Peak Rail and fully repainted. Second, 825's back on passenger duties after running in, and I caught it as it first left Goathland, Then arriving at Grosmont about 10 minutes later. So that's another two locos ready for the gala. I've also seen pictures on 92134's Facebook and Twitter pages of it raising steam earlier this month, though I'm guessing for the gala, it might be in light steam at Grosmont if anything, but we'll see.
  9. Yeah, I saw it on the NYMR's website whilst checking the gala page. Nice to see it getting some miles in here, and that was the case today when I saw it on the teak set at Grosmont. Now is it just me, or does the loco look right in this livery? Especially when hauling the teak set.
  10. I also got a couple of screencaps of the odd bedfellows this afternoon as well. First at Grosmont while the B1 was just arriving in the distance, And then at Goathland on their way to Pickering. I really hope the Yankee Dan returns here once Paignton have enough engines of their own, cause I really think it belongs here, especially as I'm sure 3803 is still up for sale at Buckfastleigh, and Paignton would be a good home for it. Also, was the warming fire lit in 825 by any chance, as I did see a picture in the latest Steam Railway magazine showing it was close to being finished off. Mark
  11. I also managed to catch the brake van rides as well, with 76079 also present prior to the 4.30 service, and eventually 2238 when it arrived as well. Obviously, the 08 moved over to Platform 4 so the T2 could arrive, but its presence did allow it to shunt Set 1 away for the night as well. Just out of curiosity, were the brake van rides part of the 'Schools' out for summer promotion? Or was it a one day event? Either way, I hope they did well. Mark
  12. Nice. Now we've got both reopening train locos running again. Question is, with the gold timetable now in use, where's the best place for both of them to run? I'd go with Wensleydale. Close enough to get to for check-ups and in case of problems, and they get 2 for the price of 1 for their summer service.
  13. Fair enough then. Also, look what I saw this afternoon whilst watching on the laptop. The birthday girl in her 1919 colours on test. While it's only for this year, it does look good. And yes, the J27's there as well. I'm guessing they were getting pictures of the two together. I also noticed the 26 on a 1 coach load racing the J27 over the crossing as well. Anyone know what the 1 coacher was for. I thought it was going on the third set or the diner at first, but ended up being wrong.
  14. Noticed the J27 facing north around mid afternoon today for some reason, But when it returned from Pickering later on, it was facing south again Not sure why, but I can't see it being anything important, unless I'm mistaken.
  15. Got another screencap from this afternoon, just to show what the C&W department have finally let loose. The newly restored 1878's on a run out at last. Top effort lads.
