I’m still trying to work out in this great plan where the current NR depot on Midland Road fits in.
the PSB has transferred to York ROC but the interlocking and other equipment in the building will be left behind

I'm on the 13:47 KX via PBO to York.
I made my journey and the LNER Azuma used the old GNGE tracks but not the dive-under.

Only two that I can see that stop at York, 13:47 KX to Aberdeen and 17:15 KX to Edinburgh. Other LNER services that stop at York will be by bus between Peterborough and Doncaster.
Realtime trains.

Don't miss your train, there are only four LNER heading north from Peterborough in the morning. Have a good journey👍
Hmm, I am on an afternoon train. I will double check about diversions for that.

I see that some EMR trains to/from Lincoln are now using the dive under in their schedule.
e.g. 2K17/2K24, using Platform 7.
I'm due to use the dive under on a trip to Huddersfield via York next Wednesday due to engineering works on the ECML. I shall be on an LNER Azuma.

In railway news, Cock Lane has acquired a CCTV camera, road/rail cherry pickers and trolleys have arrived.
The three transformers to the left of the white van for the OHLE have been here for a couple of weeks and some of dilapidated pallets of insulators have turned up. Not sure what is going on, the transformers are faded and dirty so may have already had replacements installed.
The gentleman had just been inside and probably fired up a diesel generator as smoke can be seen coming through the roof vent.

I have a feeling that most, if not all deer present in the UK are technically not a native species!
Lots of people don't realise that Rabbits are an import by William the Conquers lot and were not present in the UK till after 1066 (as opposed to the humble hare which IS native to the UK) and I think the Normans were also responsible for deer as it gave them something for the new toffs to hunt (once they had cleared out those pesky Anglo Saxon villagers from places like the New Forrest.
Only Roe Deer and Red Deer are native species. Fallow, Muntjac, Sika and Chinese Water deer 🦌 are all introduced species.

They must intend to move some large and heavy machinery across that size of bridge. Perhaps preparing the ground for a building of some kind.

I saw a Grand Central Class 180 emerge from the dive-under heading south. Are the new points not yet fully usable or is this a one off?
