Hornby have commented on the Facebook post that its a one off and not being produced.
  2. But you would still need a decoder to control the directional lights and any other lighting functions in the dummy units though so they will still need decoders.
  3. I did see some stands with numbers but they was only on an A5 size piece of paper which made them difficult to spot depending where they get displayed.
  4. 🚨 Hot off the press 🚨 Hornby Magazine this month, you’ll be able to see Folly Lane. It was a huge pleasure to host Trevor Jones, and for us as a small team to achieve this in a short period of time. Go and buy a copy or two and we’ll be happy to sign it! All pictures are ©️ Trevor Jones Hornby Magazine
  5. Looking forward to the show as always being a modern image modeller, and always great to see Deadmans Lane. Can't wait to see the rest of the line up for this year.
  6. if you could PM over some photos, materials needed for now that would be great.
  7. Some amazing work again. The BB BDA really looks amazing and is definitely something different. I've managed to pick up 2 Hornby SAA wagons in the hope of turning them into RRA wagons, if I can find the courage to do them as I've never done anything like it before but they would be great to go alongside the Mullets.
  8. UPDATE FEB 2024 The beginning of last week was spent doing some work on the layout, plus the layout was at the Beckenham and West Wickham Model Railway clubs open day as it was up at the club room. Work included working up the new extension boards and laying the remaining track. The new extension boards work really well and definitely improve the layout. During the course of the week different types of stock was tested, with most running without major issues. During the testing a few dead spots were discovered which will need to have extra droppers added at a later date. Overall the layout still works with trains running on all lines, just need to sort out the points on the scenic side and the layout plan done on the Z21 then all the points will be controlled. That’s all for this update, stay tuned for more updates.
  9. Hi Dave, Have you emailed Paul to get an email sent out to the exhibiters just in case they aren't on here. Shaun - EMRS Member
  10. Great work as always. Have got a EMT 153 to be converted myself, added to the long list that's never been started.
  11. Was the N gauge Dance hall Brake van
  12. Great to see the light at the end of the tunnel for these is getting brighter. They are looking amazing.
  13. Show day tomorrow so thought I did remind everyone of a few things. We will now be accepting card payments on the door (providing the tech works). A free shuttle bus will be running between Longfield station and the venue on both days. For anyone the smokes, vapes or uses an e-cigarette, these are not permitted to be used ANYWHERE on the academy site, this includes outside spaces. You will need to leave the site. I hope that everyone that attends enjoys the show, I'll be helping out in various places this year and will be on hand to answer any queries along with the rest of the members of the club.
  14. We're very lucky that some of the owners own an impressive amount of NSE era stock, including some unique pieces such as the 4EPB and 442. The layout does have some great places in which we can get some interesting shots as well, like the car park. We would have loved to have got some different angles but the layout was packed for most of the day.
  15. Bognor Model Railway Exhibition 2024 - Running Video Footage taken from the Bognor Model Railway Exhibition has been compiled into a 20 minute long running session for those who couldn't make the show. Two versions are available below. Now only a few weeks to go until it's next outing at Alton on 3rd/4th February.
  16. Great to see you back at it, explains the quietness on Youtube, always enjoyed watching your running sessions. Can't wait to see more work soon.
  17. End of year Update Unfortunately not much has happened with the layout since the last update, this mainly being due to not having the chance to get the layout up in its entirety. However this will change in February when I'll be able to get layout up again for a few days in order to test the new boards and plan the next stage. One big job I'd like to do is extend the scenic section in order to extend the platforms to accommodate longer passenger train, this will also allow longer freight trains to run. I would also like to replace the signals on the layout and allow them to operate automatically. The last big job will be to replace the OHLE on the layout, this will be the biggest task to complete as it needs to be done correctly. The only task that has been done since the last update is the start of wiring the new boards, which just require a bus wire to be installed then all the feeds can be connected. I have also been picking up some scenic items for the layout ready for work to be done. I have also started investing in stock boxes for rolling stock, it's surprising just how quick you fill them up so more are to be ordered when funding allows. I will also try and test more stock on the layout when it is next up in order to see what runs and what I can fit on the layout. I hope this will also allow me to get some more running shots of the layout. The big thing for the layout was featuring on Little Trains and Big Names with Pete Waterman, the layout was in episode 3 with Francis Rossi. This was filmed back in April 2023, the first time the layout was up for testing. That's all for this update, more work is planned for next year as the layout does have invites for shows in 2025, which I'm sure will rapidly approach.
  18. He's always been helpful with any questions I've asked. I was also at GETS helping operate Gordons Lane.
  19. @LMSfan72 is your guy, just message him and I'm sure he will be willing to help. Have quite a few of his kits to do myself.
  20. Just had a further look and does appear it varies, also some have steps on the side as well. Hopefully some more variations will follow to add a bit of variety.
  21. I'm sure no one will notice when the wagons running anyway, especially once it's been weathered. One thing I have noticed is the handbrake wheels are the same on each end but the real ones have different types at each end.
  22. Great weathering on the MXA wagon and the Balfour Beatty FEA has turned out amazing. Can't wait to see the Salmons weathered, I didn't realise they had done the YWA and YSA so have got both but I'm sure they still run together, may be tempted to pick up a few more.
  23. As I model present day the Osprey’s are the only one I’d like to see now.
  24. My order arrived today and they are amazing. A great and much needed addition to the modern engineering wagon fleet. A nice amount of weight to them. Glad to also see some spare handbrake wheels included as well. Only thing missing now is the Osprey’s.
