  1. Hi all hope you all had a good Christmas and new year. I know I have not been on here for a while as I had a lot on but I have been doing bits and pieces to the layout. I added some flowers to the front of the cottage, painted the roads, made a country road at the front of the layout. I got to add more flowers to put in the gardens, do a car park for the church and so on. I treated myself a class 101 two car dmu and a tomix track cleaner.
  2. Hi all. I think I might not put the points in for the run round loop for the branch line as I have to do a lot of remodeling to the track as you can see from the picture
  3. Hi im back after a month of and doing a bit of thinking about the layout and im thinking of remodeling the track around the station so the branch line can have a run round loop put in as at the moment as I'm running it as a push pull. I also have plans to build a new layout but this time in o gauge.
  4. Hi all my stepdad sent a email to slaters with a picture of the wheels and they came back and said that the wheels are not right. The wheels where quarterd to 90 degrees so it looks like i got a bad batch. They also said I can send them back to them if the others are not the same. They also said it could be the gearboxes. Thanks matt
  5. Hi thank you for the replies my stepdad managed to find a mashima motor. I will keep dragon models in mind if this one goes wrong. I think I know what made the motor burnt out the wheels aren't quarting so that might be the problem. The wheels are slaters wheels.
  6. I recently bought a roxey models p class kit. It came with a mashima motor. The motor burnt it's self out when running the chassi in. Now looking for a replacement. Roxey have not got any. Dose eny one know another manufacturer I can use. Thanks matt
  7. Not much going on the layout as I have been busy. I managed to get a bit of time to myself so I thought I would have a play. So i thought I have my own tribute to end of steam on the southern.
  8. Hi Stuart your layout is looking great. I like the yellow light as it looks like natural. Matt
  9. Hi tim thank you for the comment and the ashurst change for bitcorn sign. I most probably use the sing if you don't mind:). I was reading a article in heritage railway magazine about the Rother Valley railway and they purchased a bit of trackbed from udiam up to the river Rother. It look like this bit will be double tracked. I'm looking forward to the whole line is complete that is if the two farmers agree to sell their bit of trackbed. I think when they get the act of transport from parliament the farmers will be forced to sell by a compulsory purchase order. Matt
  10. I was looking through a book about the kent and east sussex railway and I realize I made a Bobo with the name board. I put the ashurst board on the wrong platform. So i manage to move it with out brake it. With it in the white place I made up a ashurst change of bitcorn. I'm not that happy with it as I managed to get the spacing wrong.
  11. I finally made a name board for the station and made the second signal. Got to make a second name board and the all change for bitcorn board.
  12. Finally got the z class transfers. So I put in a temporary early br livery. I planted the signal in its final please to the baseboard and I decided to use the peco engine shed and I have gone a bit mad detailing it.
  13. I'm in a bit of a Delamere. I bought a peco engine shed but I got a ratio one. I don't know what one looks better on the layout. I also made my first ratio signal.
  14. I got a bit of scenery done around the bridge. got a bit of extra bits to do to make it look better. I've put some horses in a field next to the bungalow as well.
  15. Thank you Tim. I did mean to put ballasting instead of ballistics. I do hate predictive text on my phone . Thanks matt
