  2. road i think, i know scunthorpe and port talbots were delivered by road. i imagine it costs too much by rail
  3. 18003 is now on trial at my work in scunthorpe. Luckily rails have changed my order for me
  4. Decided to order 31555. Its not fitting with the area. But might fit with my "what if" wisbech tramway. It does look rather wholesome in br black
  5. has anyone else noticed you can still order the barclays and the p class ?
  6. Hunslets and torpedos awaiting production expected summer this year
  7. Latest updates on current models status
  8. Something to consider Planet industrials delivered, packed and shipped there successful victory class with just 2 or 3 people. So hattons could do the same.
  9. but that is a very different barclay to those produced by hattons. id like one, but its a wholly different locomotive
  10. I think he means like the 66. The barclay may be sold on
  11. do i spot a silencer, i also felt the digitrains sound sounds a little...off not sure why
  12. What I can only assume is the valve gear catches on the piston Crosshead that is behind it
  13. Slightly problem there as I don't have a circle of track to run in on , so I'm restricted to rollers. I have run this chassis in before it went back to rapido for repair. And it's come back with the same chassis so not sure what to do
  14. No, it's the plastic bracket that comes over the front of the Cross head that's catching , i assume it's part of the valve gear. Only catched at slow speed but of course thats My main speed. Sometimes it fully jams. And I'm rather concerned that it might snap one of the parts in half.
  15. 3rd time not lucky. Once again my 15xx has returned. The body has been repaired but the form stated the chassis was within expected parameters. Yet at slow speed it still tends to lock up and click. I've found it's part of the motion catching itself , and its two plastic parts which seriously makes me one might snap. I've also found the cab still rides up and down as it travels along. (The two parts in red catching as they pass over eachother in motion and clicking ) I love the 15xx. But I'm seriously considering cutting my losses and returning the model. Although I doubt the model shop would refund me by this time. I should add. I know corbs and consider him a good friend. And I can't fault other models that I have had from rapido and consider some of them flawless , even the hunslet that had to be returned as the second was excellent. Its just a shame that this model has been a bit of a miss. At least in my case .
  16. Update on the Hunslet Important information! We've been receiving a lot of emails from you asking for updates on our Scunthorpe Hunslet Bo-Bo models. It is amazing to see the excitement for this model. We are grateful for the assistance of the Appleby Frodingham Railway at Scunthorpe in making this model accurate and giving us access to the real locomotives and to the information that they hold. However, please note: The preservation group at Scunthorpe don't have information on the progress of this model and have asked us to remind you that queries should only be directed to Mike Revell who will be able to answer your questions. What liveries are we offering? 73 Original Green DCC ready £180 DCC fitted £210 DCC sound fitted £280 79 'Big Keith' DCC ready £180 DCC fitted £210 DCC sound fitted £280 72 British Steel DCC ready £180 DCC fitted £210 DCC sound fitted £280 71 British Steel Blue DCC ready £180 DCC fitted £210 DCC sound fitted £280 Update On Delivery Schedule Making a ready to run model is a complex and detailed process. Any model contains a huge number of individual precision parts that need to be assembled together at our main Chinese factory. These parts may in turn be drawn from a number of outside suppliers, and the process of ensuring that all the parts are together at the factory at the same time to allow assembly to happen is quite a feat of organisation! Some of the parts factories themselves, rely on parts to be delivered to make the parts that they are supplying to our Chinese manufacturer. To be honest, it could often be described as a cross between a complex acrobatic display, and herding cats. We have been made aware that a delay has crept in with supplying some of the parts, and this has resulted in a delay in production. As a result, delivery of the Scunthorpe Hunslet Bo-Bo locomotives has slipped from the dates we were quoting at the Great Electric Train Show. We apologise for this, and hope that you understand that this is out of our control. We know that our Chinese factory are doing their utmost best, so we hope this will not add too much extra time until delivery. Any updated delivery dates will be sent out via our social media channels. Still Available to Order - Secure Yours Today!
