  9. Hi all, I want to start working at a subway model but I'm looking for a donor locomotive for bogies OO gauge. The requirements are dia 11.5mm(or 12mm) wheels distance between axels 25mm and (but not important) aprox. 141mm between hobbies.
  10. Hello all, I would like to make force perspective mini-diorama. Subject will be a street and a narrow gauge will cross it. I would like to have a OO9 locomotive and in the background 1/87 cars and trucks. Is there any tutorial about force perspective? Is there any calculations that I need to do in regards with distancing the models? Is the any angle that I need to apply to the road?
  11. Hello all, How can I get hold of Continental modeller October 2013, I'm interested regarding the article about Lxd2 diesel locomotive.
  12. @calvin Streeting I've told you that you are a genius, I'm never wrong.
  13. Calvin as you know I'm a big fan. First you are the only one who is taking the FDM printing to extreme. Second I like your sketches alot. Is the canal boat resin printed?
  14. @Ian Morgan thank you. Yes UK should be proud of its heriatage. As I've said for the moment it is easy for me to do UK heritage weekends. I have in plan Bluebell Railway as first trip. I've seen in Germany for special ocasions some of the prices are quite expensive.
  15. I would like to add https://www.muttenthalbahn.org/en/welcome-to-the-muttenthalbahn-light-railway to itinerary.
  16. I've decided that from this year I will start to do Heritage Railway Trips in UK and Europe. I will call the trips adventures and there will be two kinds: 1. Short adventures - they will happen over weekends in UK. Per year I will try to do as many as I can. 2. Long adventures - will be a minimum of 5 days to 14 days in Europe. Per year I will try to do at least two. The first country that I will like to visit is Germany. My issue is that I'm not able to find any website like http://www.heritage-railways.com/map.php or http://www.heritagerailways.com for Germany. It will help me a lot to explore. I will start with Wuppertal Suspension Railway but after I don't have any idea what line to visit, has to be something that is in the area. Any suggestion will be appreciated. I will try to update this topic on a regular basis.
  17. Romanian Country wasn't under Ottoman Empire. Dobroja was under Otoman Empire. I want to make a correction to what I've said, the year when the station was open is 1869. Could you give me your toughts if the picture is showing redbrick or painted plaster?
  18. I'm not sure if I'm posting in the right category but I think this is the one closest to my research. The first railway station in Bucharest Romania is Filaret Station it was build by the British around 1863 ( J.T Barkley ). The scope of my small research is to find similar stations in UK. Bellow image is one of the first images with the station and I think in the purest form. From what can I see my impression is that the facade was red brick with white pillars and details. I would like to know if you know any similar stations in UK. Any suggestion will be highly appreciated.
  19. All, thank you very much for your responses. Am I correct to conclude that Styrene/HIPS/ABS don't work with any electrical montage? Wire are one side of the story I do understand that I need to choose correct gauge, but any other electrical circuit that has capacitors or/and power inductors will be a problem because they get hot. Is there any other material to use to be on the safe side?
  20. Does it mean that I can run wires and DC electronics without any problems?
