  1. Trix did not sell coupling adapters, PECO made and sold them. Richard
  2. You cannot use NEM sockets for H/D or PECO couplings, the simplest solution would be to obtain a PECO coupling pack as it comes with a pin for pivot and you will need to pack the height with plastic sheet. Richard
  3. The y10 model you refer to has nothing to do with Wrenn modifying HD tooling from the cattle wagon, it was a new body tool produced towards the end of the company's existance. Secondly the y10 was purely a GWR conversion, BR only did their version y8. So the number on the Dapol model is a complete work of fiction. Richard
  4. Bailies Dailies started as a newspaper shop and evolved into a model shop, then changed name to Kemp models.
  5. Pak75, Modern Hornby/Gibson/Romford wheels will fit into HD models with no modification, you do not need brass bearings or any adustment. Just release the metal clip from the top and slide it out, the new wheel set can be placed into the one side (with clip in place) then put the other clip over axle end and wiggle the clip back into place, job done. Richard
  6. I feel that a lot of ill informed speculation about this locomotive from Lionheart, if their Churchward 45xx 2-6-2 prairie tank is retailing at MRP £512.33 why should this be much different? Richard
  7. Good afternoon Tony, found this photograph of the tanks you weathered, the main wagon featured is ex-works, but the others are pretty grimy. Richard
  8. Ade Dapol are not the manufacturer of this Loco, unless Richard Webster is on the stand he is the designer and manufactures under the Lionheart label. Richard
  9. Found this on YouTube, hope this is interesting to others.
  10. You cannot solder to Mazac, I suggest that you use Araldite or Superglue. Richard
  11. Does anyone know what the little thing on the tripod is for? Looks like a Laser for checking the levels, it rotates continuously and the special staff bleeps when the correct level is achieved. Richard
  12. Johnster Hornby Dublo never produced models with raised joint lines, it was a cheaper way of producing a tool something HD never did, and their body mouldings compare with the latest produced now. Not the first time you have written something before checking your facts. Richard
  13. Amanda I've just looked on https://www.hamodels.net and it looks like they ship overseas and stock huge range of kits and all the bits you need to finish them. No connection except as a customer in the past. Richard
  14. Not a standard pannier, only 7714 exists in preservation.
  15. Just an update, Antics and Rails are showing them in stock today. Richard
