Apparently Mrs Boris is now a Class 37 basher and "requires" a green O gauge one for Xmas. Slightly scary

Enjoyed a fantastically relaxing sunny afternoon at the Ryedale Society of Model Engineers' Main Line Rally. Amazing live steam action!

“This guest of summer, the temple-haunting martlet, does approve, by his loved mansionry, that the heaven’s breath smells wooingly here.”

On busy trains I take great pleasure in asking people to move their bags to make seats available for sitting.
-
I’ll admit that often I do have my bags on the seat next to me, although that’s normally because the train is quiet enough to allow that. Any time I’m asked to move my bags, or if the train gets busier, then I will do so, although one time in July 2020 going from Carlisle to Glasgow a request to move my bags came rather rudely.

Why do so many threads feel like arguments these days.
What happened to modelling and giving each other encouragement?

Which article of Sod's Law is it that decrees you will never notice the faults in a kit until after the point at which correcting the fault would be straightforward.

Meeting the prospective son number one's in laws. Took several Gin & Tonics to prepare. Made it through and now back home, knackered and extremely full from all the food at the restaurant. But came through unscathed and no faux pas.

What happened to the Hornby elite upgrade thread?
