  1. Hi. I've only just been digging back into past posts, but I realise that I may well be years too late for you. The book that will be invaluable to you is volume 4A in the series "British Railway History in Colour" by Neil Parkhouse published by Lightmoor Press. ISBN 9781911038 66 5. This volume is "Gloucester Midland Lines - South - Eastgate to Stroud and Nailsworth". As the name says, it deals with the MR/LMS side, but inevitably on the Tuffley-Standish jcns section the GW side is also shown, and I think there will be further info on that in due course when a later volume is published. This is an absolutely superb series with, as the tin label says, every picture being in colour. I intend to get the whole set in due course. Price is £25.00.
  2. I had to dispose of 30 years' worth of magazines. I went through them, and scanned onto DVD the articles that I thought might be useful, creating an index of them as I went. Now I can find an article in the index, find the relevant disc, put in the page number, and Bingo! Current computers probably have enough capacity not to need the DVD, but it's useful to have a back-up copy. It's a monotonous job to do the scanning, but manageable if divided into logical time slots. Most heritage railways are inundated with magazines, and don't want them except for things like the sadly missed Modeller's Backtrack. Paul
  3. Kemble is still in existence - a GWR (1882) stonebuilt junction station building with an interesting covered awning to the branch platform. There are some pictures on www.urban75.org/railway/kemble-railway-station-gwr.html Lawyerpaul
  4. In UK IPA is India Pale Ale, a tasty beverage available in barrel or bottle in pubs. I suspect that this isn't what you use to clean your airbrush (and its use in your modelling room would lead to unsubtle comments from your better half that it smells like a brewery!). What is IPA, please? Lawyerpaul
