Got my email to say it's on its way 2 hours ago. Really looking forward to them arriving.

I do sort of get it, I've paid for mine a couple of months ago and still no notification here, and it's Bank Holiday weekend... but it is what it is, its only slight feelings of jealousy that some have got theirs already even if they were paid for after mine. I'm sure though they will prove to be worth the wait.

I notice in the Ambergate pic that the marker lights are in use too.

Is there any drawings of the layout of the water tanks, boiler etc? Just thinking there must have been a lot of internal pipe work if there was only the one tank.

I've had an email from Royal mail regarding a parcel from "Multi Channel Logistics" I'm assuming the Fell will be on its way soon.

I wouldn’t worry too much, 012 has been running around with at least one oversized 6 on it, 14 has had oversized nose end numbers, I think 015 has had missing numbers that I can think of off the top of my head.

Possibly trying to recreate the whine of the traction motors? It’s the one thing that is very distinctive when your right behind the locos but seems to be missing to me.

Does anyone know what this is? https://www.dccsupplies.com/item-p-113157/close-coupling-kit-for-class-68-oo.htm They seem to have the tightlock couplings and the spring plate as separate items and I wouldn’t have thought the plastic bar with the NEM socket would count as a ‘kit’. Steve

I'm not sure how many sound fitted they had on order, the none chipped 68's arrived at the Birmingham shop about a week after other retailers and they only had 2 of each for selling off the shelf. 002 had one with plenty of glue around the nameplates and one with nameplates a snowdon mountain loco would have been proud of. One of their 010s had something substantial loose in the box and the other one had sand pipe rattling around which I purchased at a discounted rate. I didn't check the others.

I've had a nightmare with valances, emailed first and felt very fobbed off, rang and was told "I'll send the one out that's in my hand now" after 2 weeks with no sign I rang again to be told "we've got none, but we will get back to you" still waiting. Other than that it's a fine model, it's just the small bits letting Dapol down.
