Great to hear when any of my crappy old pics' are of any help, it did seem to have bigger numbers and they seem spaced very close together. You have it spot on Rob! I loved the white striped ones. A couple more whilst i'm on. 31101. Thornaby. 26-2-84. And 31 200. Warrington. 13-8-94.

Next batch of Class 70's

They'd be even better if the numbers were bolder or big enough for a blind bat like me to see from even a close up distance. -

I like the tin hut there up against the bridge between the tracks, will look great with some weeds and a small amount of clutter around it. The brick hut might look better brought down nearer to the points (at the middle of the last pic') ...and close to the baseboard edge do'snt matter.

Nowt too complicated to make i hope Jim, more than likely a Parkside or Slaters kit yet again. I've been looking at a pipe wagon or a grampus ballast wagon, up to now the Grampus seems odds on. Yes i agree the sign is too clean, it needs the name of the depot putting on it yet then i'll dirty it up a bit, but enough so we can just still read it. -

Thank you all! Seeing as how here in the N.W. we might end up under further lock down measures soon, i've already decided i'm staying in! So i'm thinking of getting another kit to build to keep me busy. Here's all my kit built wagons i've made so far....all three of 'em- 440 replies

Still going! That's good news russ, I would'nt mind modelling that one in that tatty look. I lost track of a lot of 47's when they renumbered them, i was'nt ever sure if i had to start to spot them all over again, especially when they made them into 57's 47 510 was the last i needed of the class which i finally saw at Crewe.

Cheers russ, this is what happens when females get hold of all your old log books and chuck them in the bin, unless like some prints which have the details written on the back i'm often lost to remember where i've been or what i've seen i'm just starting to realise how much travelling i did, and how much we spotters must have spent on train tickets in trying to kop that elusive 08 or 50! Last lot for today. 059. Eastleigh 4-8-84. 628. Old Oak. 8-9-85. 501. York. 4-4-80. 119. SP. 5-11-82. 456. Man' Vic'. 16-12-82. 511. Old Oak. 10-4-83. Last one is 444. 35 years ago to the day tomorrow, Lostock, Bolton. 5-6-85. i was working on the new detached houses seen above the three coaches and i used to go have my 'Chippy' dinner hour on the bridge sitting in the firms Sherpa van.

A few more bad 'uns that i could'nt post up yesterday, along with the others they are the bottom of a bad pile of old prints. I think the 47 with the white dots above was 47 157 at Bristol T.M. i've no idea what the white stuck on discs were about? And it probably dates to the late '70's rather than the early '80's......the coach in the Warrington pic' seen here is parked up by the passing white roofed 47 was a white Manchester Pullman coach...i think! There's a few more to post yet.

A few pics' of my recent kit build. I don't know one wagon from another so when i posted this pic' of a class 25 the other week it got me looking at the wagon by the side of it. The wagon was often seen sat around Springs Branch depot in the late '70's and early '80's. By chance a few days later i saw a wagon kit build on another layout that i am following which turned out to be of the same type and design of wagon, that being a B.R. 13t. high goods wagon. The Slaters kit was bought and arrived the very next day from Blackpool. Its taken me about ten days in total to finish, a lot quicker than i had thought it would. I can't say its perfect or correct in every detail but it's a near enough effort i hope to park up on my layout.- 440 replies

Sometimes less is more, a bit of clutter maybe with a few barrels, packing crates and old sleepers laying around. Great work btw.
