The first digital photos I saw were truly terrible, but a few years later...wow! Same with 3-D printing; I'm excited for the younger modellers at what possibilities await. But as an oldie I'm content to stick with what I know. -
As the length of coaching is crucial to the minimum radii of the curves on our layouts, and as we gain experience and enlarge our space and adherence to prototype practice so having only large radii curves it would make total sense to make your coaches telescopic. I can't think why nobody thought of this before!

Currently building 00 scale end to end layout based on BR Southern Region 1955-64. First model for 30 years. Tempted back by quality of today's products. Member of local club.

Layout now looking sort of complete, although as I'm photographing it for possible publication, various things stand out like sore thumbs. One major change during construction has been the original fiddle yard now being incorporated into the main layout (see photo) and a four road sector plate being squeezed in at the far end, taking the overall length from 11 feet to 15.
