Still very stormy up here, the rain has restarted, the gales never stopped a lovely old bridge near us at the Bridge of Dun, next to the Caledonian heritage railway station has collapsed, I will be surprised if anything will be left of it in the morning.

We are still in the middle of the storm, no signs of the wind or rain letting up, as I have mentioned we are atop a small hill so the wind is more of a worry, but we are cut off again, though one back road is passable in a 4x4. Half the village lost power last night but it is back on again now, the nearby town of Brechin is suffering as is Stonehaven just up the coast flooding of record levels it seems with heights of 14 or 15 feet above normal summer levels, we won't be going anywhere, though it is predicted to drop from red level to amber in a couple of hours.

My computer tells me it is is 11 degrees and raining......................................that doesn't quite cover it however, I reckon the wind is around 60mph, the boss tells me that on the Stonehaven chat page on her farce book there's a picture of a cow flying through the air, it might be an exaggeration, but then again it might not...................

That's the difference between a craftsman and a handy man.......................knowing which is the right hammer to hit things with(I worked with a fitter back in the '70's who had a big wooden box full of hammers like a set of golf clubs).

We had an ex neighbour who used to send us a lovely huge Christmas card each year........................................but only put a second class stamp on it, after one year we didn't bother going to collect them and pay the excess, I don't think she sends them anymore. I have bought stuff on the "bay" from China in the past and didn't have to pay any extras for postage.
