  1. Time is on my side-Those Strolling Bones
  2. It is currently "tattie fortnight" here in Scotland, schools closed and roads knee deep in mud. The holiday used to be when all the families took to the fields to lift the crop, now a bloke in an air conditioned GPS controlled huge piece of gear lifts the lot whilst the kids play on the park. Almost all tatties round here are the versatile "Rooster" and they all go to Brechin to the Albert Bartlett sheds, the size of football grounds and full to the roof with tattie boxes.
  3. Something amiss with all these perfect chip posts, first and foremost you need the right potato, there are several candidates, but the Pink Fir Apple chip sits at the top for most connoisseurs.
  4. The court of the crimson king-King Crimson
  5. I'm Henery the Eighth, I am- Herman's Hermits
  6. Funnily enough when we go to Banff, we haven't seen any bears, but there's some dodgy looking "wildlife" in Fraserburgh on the way back to Montrose, that will be all the original ones up 'ere in Bonnie Scotland.
  7. Walk on- Sonny Terry and Brownie Mcghee
  8. That fishing basket is in good nick, do you not use it?
  9. I wish I knew how to check my notes, getting treatment up here is very good, getting results or information is close to non existent.
  10. Have you ever been (to electric ladyland)-Jimi Hendrix
  11. She wears red feathers and a hula-hula skirt-Guy Mitchell
  12. Been to our local garden centre in the café to meet daughter and family for a cuppa, do you remember the days when garden centres had things to do with gardening in them, seems a loooooooooooong time ago?
  13. Used to love those drinking games and "spoof" was another, on easter in tour in South Wales we certainly had the odd half of shandy
  14. Seems a 60 year old has been arrested for the tree felling, so maybe the 16 year old was just the labourer?
  15. Taken at our local bird hide just click on the link there's no sound on it Winday day at Montrose by tigerburnie, on Flickr
  16. I've moved quite a few times lived in 13 different houses/flats and as a yoof dossed around in 3 more different locations in 4 different countries. We used to like moving at one point, but there are a couple of cardboard boxes in the loft that were packed in the 1980's that are still unpacked after 4 house moves, but I am not allowed to bin the contents that include the bosses wedding dress, thing off the top of our wedding cake and other assorted "must keep" items lol.
  17. Storms here a bit wet wild and windy but doesn't sound too bad, tomorrow will see what damage is done, hopefully none, I won the euro lottery yesterday, 3 numbers and a lucky star and won..........................................a flippin' £5 for four numbers, time to rethink my strategy as it could be me, but only for peanuts it would see lol.
  18. Don't bring me down- The Pretty Things
  19. In the early 1980's I was required for an emergency breakdown on a rig in the Brent Oil field, as it was a Sunday, the quickest way to get me to Aberdeen airport and a Chinook flight out, was to first told to drive to Heathrow, get on a plane to Glasgow and then get on a mail plane to Dyce. There was a storm blowing when I got to Glasgow and once on the mail plane it was a very bumpy ride to Aberdeen, I would have done up my seat belt, but the seat didn't have one fitted, so the pilot told me to sit on the parcels as I'd have less distance to fall. The pilot could talk to me as the door into the cockpit was wedged open with mail, I watched over his shoulder as we came into land, with our nose into the wind we hit the tarmac(quite gently which was surprising) at about 45 degrees to the lights either side of the runway, quite an experience that was.
