  1. I did something similar, once. That was years ago.
  2. The pacific with the 8-wheel tender, I like - why? Because it reminds me of the LNER Pacifics with tenders like that. Or, maybe with a bogie tender like the King Arthur classes?
  3. Thank you. I like steam locomotives, mostly from the Pre-Grouping Era as well as the LMS steam locomotives.
  4. So will I. Thanks for your contribution. True. Of course they certainly were. I'm attempting to model an LNWR Single Wheeler in 00 Gauge.
  5. If you thought No. 3020 Cornwall was the only Single Wheel steam locomotive, then you may be wrong; the old London and North Western Railway had another single wheel locomotive - the Bloomer Class. I also like this Single Wheel locomotive next to the LNWR No. 3020 Cornwall and the GNR Stirling Single No. 1 which I saw at the NRM in York four months ago, where I sought more inspiration for the Pre-Grouping Era (1875 -1922). When I heard talk about the new replica being built, I felt rather estatic and I am very excited to see it when it is finished hopefully by the end of this decade. Like the LMS Patriot Project in which I am a proud supporter of, this is another project I too hope to support as well. Using a Hornby Caledonian Single Wheeler as a prototype as well as a Bachmann LNWR G2A tender, I hope to make it as close to the original as I possibly can. Let me know what you guys think as, hopefully, I'll try and post updates on the project after the LNWR Mogul is complete.
  6. Good one, pal! It reminds me of something similar that they have on the old Union Pacific.
  7. Nice locomotive. I see it as either a shunting locomotive or a push-pull locomotive on branch lines.
  8. I know it's mostly steam locomotives on this thread, but suppose there were some fictional diesels included as well? I did design a British Raill Class 19 once (basically, it was a BR Class 20 with two cabs at both ends).
  9. Just to give y'all an update on my LNWR Experimental Mogul - took a bunch of shots at my friend's model railway shop, I did. Let me know what you folks think.
  10. Do you plan on making it into a working 00 Gauge model?
  11. Good work, Corbs! I can see it working on a heritage line; can you?
  12. I see. Very interesting. Have you seen my model in progress?
  13. And here she is! Please note that it's a work in progress, even though it's obvious. A big thanks to DavidB-AU for the splendid render he made in which he took an LNWR Jumbo 2-4-0 and altered it - clever chap. The body was made from an old Tri-ang Hornby B12 body with modifications to make it more LNWR-esque.
  14. E and F 2-8-0s? I never heard of them or saw them.
  15. Work is taking shape on my LNWR Experimental Mogul. Would anybody like to see pictures of it?
  16. Yes, that's true. And what about fictional diesels?
  17. I thought the SR Schools Class were the last 4-4-0 locomotives built.
  18. I was planning to see No. 3020 'Cornwall' at Shildon this October. Next to the GNR Stirling Single No. 1, LNWR 2-2-2- No. 3020 'Cornwall' is my top-favourite Single Wheeler steam locomotive. I have yet to meet her in person.
  19. Good concept, that. Good luck attempting this in 00 Scale.
  20. Wow! That looks very nice! A lot better than what I imagined...thanks! Now, how to model it in 00 scale?
  21. Funny how the London & North Western Railway (LNWR) never had a 2-6-0 Mogul locomotive. What if there could have been an experimental one in the 1890s? I was planning on making one myself.
  22. I've seen them and they all look very nice. James is a 2-6-0 locomotive.
