...snip... and the JATO assisted car headed straight for one of the camera crew, before spinning sideways at the last second - luckily the footage was captured by another camera and wasn't wasted.
The final scenes in the old moonshining film "THUNDER ROAD" has a car crashing into an electric substation. The script did not call for the crash (or at least not that bad a crash) and when the stuntman driver crashed (he was killed in the crash) the cameras were running and the scene was left in in the driver's memory.

Back in the 70s, and seen on one of those menu boards with removable letters you saw in chippies in those days which were sometimes fun when letters were missing or had fallen off. The place offered, amongst other delights, 'urkeyburgers', and a can of 'cold grap'. This was up your Salubrious Passage in Swansea. I want an urkeyburger and a cold grap, please...
I suppose that really depends on where you want the grap!

I recall reading a biography of Rommel, in it was a photo of him holding a pet fox. This was long before WW2 so no relation the the Sahara.

Twice I had a bat get into my house. Scary (due to the possibility of rabies) but managed to get them out.

I really do not see anything weird, the ship is "empty" so all the weight is near the stern. Maybe also not re-fueled yet?

On that cheery note, Night Owl from the Piedmont.

....and sit in Parliament.
Dave
I know almost nothing about Parliament (that's a brand of cigarettes, isn't it?) but changing that word to Congress would make it more meaningful. Well, maybe to us at about 3,,000 miles

I had crocodile many moons ago at Old Orleans in Bolton, by the Reebok.
It was very tasty, but it got me back with a vengeance the next day, let’s say I needed Imodium….
Probably the Cajun spices!

Gator tail is supposed to be quite tasty. I am sorry that I never tried any when I lived in Florida.

I forgot to mention we had some cake too. Aditi made a batch of banana and chocolate chip muffins. We did give quite a lot away to neighbours but I have just eaten the last one. Unless of course some went to the freezer. Due to an ordering error we had a lot of bananas.
TonyYes, we have no bananas.

Larry LaPrise, the man who wrote "The Hokey Kokey", died peacefully at age 93. The most traumatic part for his family was getting him into the coffin. They put his left leg in. And then the trouble started.
Hmmm, that one is so old that it has fossilized!

We used to have one of those but it broke. Our lawn is really a place for daisies, buttercups and clover. Plus other seasonal visitors. We stopped putting stuff on it when we had a dog and haven’t restarted.
Our neighbours are quite particular about their lawn. Their weed and feed spreader went wrong last year and they had black stripes all winter where the lawn was overdosed. It is recovering now.
TonyMine last year (and a few before but not this year):
