HartleyHill . The LNWR in1895-1900
Coal Tank replied to Coal Tank's topic in Pre-Grouping - Modelling & Prototype
A bit of an update on the Dining coaches. I have made the ends as a separate assembly as there is panelling on the front of the coach which will need to be painted after this I will have to wait for the six wheeled bogies to become available which is in hand.- 35 replies

Hi , I have started the 2pm corridor coaches I am putting the bodies together first working my way from the front of the train backwards. The dining coaches need some thinking . What I am going to do is make the veranda end separate,it will be bolted to the main body after painting as the en of the coach has paneling which will need lining. This just a dry fit as I feel my way. The panel which is separate at the moment goes on the other side of the door. When I dig out the blutac I'll post some more photos.- 35 replies

A question folks, the platforms follow a curve so would the paving slabs follow the curve or not ?. I think that they would follow the curve. -

A view of what I hope it will look like. I did a similar photo of London Road which I thought came out quite nicely. -

Then I cut out the cardboard to fit inside the rails. Then I used a compass to follow the profile of the curve and cut that out. It should fit the curve which it does. I'm sure that there are better ways but hay ho. The main thing is that it fits . -

Ok , so I have been starting the platforms. I was wondering how to get them to follow the track so here are a few pics. Let me just say that this is how I did it not necessarily how anyone else should. -

Hi Mikkel, to be honest I have only just started thinking about this. The dining coaches and the other etches are part of the 2pm corridor. Most of the trains that I am slowly putting together are from photos. -
I do like to get amongst the train's when taking photos.

Hi Jol ,there are two Diagram 71 ,a Diagram 54, Diagram 55and two dinning coaches .He only has one type of dinning coach. There should have been a Diagram 69 brake so I have asked him if he can do one of those. I will have to phone John for some coach chassis. John -

Hi , I have just received the etches for the 2pm corridor, there is another brake coach to order. I only have room for 7 coaches so it's a representation of the train. Looking forward to this- 35 replies
