  1. This has seriously got my attention...
  2. Thank you to everyone for the quick responses. Michael, this was exactly what I was after, many thanks.
  3. Hi everyone, I am currently in the process of modifying my existing layout to give it a S&C flavor. Part of the work involves modifying my scenery to include a tunnel. I have been looking on the internet (including RMweb) and like the look of Shotlock Hill Tunnel. Are there any commercially available portals that are similar or is there a template to assist scratch building? From observation the tunnel portals have an elliptical shape that I'd like to replicate. Thanks & regards Andrew
  4. Thank you everyone for your replies, I appreciate it.
  5. Apologies if this is not in the right area, can anyone advise me if Le Models are still in production and/or where I can purchase their models. The website & Facebook page don't appear to have been updated for some time. Thanks in advance.
  6. Forgive me for going off topic, can anyone tell what the building is in front of the crane (which is a superb model...)
  7. Thanks to everyone for their replies, lots of information to digest. I've been inspired by Nigel Kendall's "Rails Around Bournemouth" facebook page; it looks like it will be the K-types for the mid 60's period I'm interested in. I'm now trying to work out what models are available (and appropriate). Regards Andrew
  8. Hi all, Apologies if this has been asked elsewhere in the group but I am looking for guidance on what Hornby Pullman coaches/packs are suitable to make up a 1960's Bournemouth Belle consist. Thanks in advance. Regards Andrew
  9. Many thanks to everyone for the replies, I appreciate the assistance. I'll do some investigating let you know the outcome. Regards Andrew
  10. Hi from Australia, Apologies if this has been asked elsewhere but are there any kits / ready to place models of station buildings etc that are based on the southern region. I am returning to the hobby after a break of several years and would like to convert my existing layout to a southern theme circa 1960s. No firm plans as yet, just keen to see what is available... Thanks in advance Regards Andrew
  11. Hi all, I have just been looking at photos of the new Dapol 64xx/74xx panniers, particularly 7411 in GWR green. The photos that I have seen show the locomotive fitted with top feed and a smokebox door mounted number plate. While I am no expert I was under the impression that the numberplate was an addition made during BR days. Is this an oversight made during production or did GWR locomotives have these plates fitted? Thanks in advance. Regards Andrew
