I totally get that, I weather (or have Neville Grove do it ten times better) all my locomotives, but if you see this one, it won’t be easy to do it justice!

They did confirm in the Q&A that the J50 will have a front coupling. I'm more disapointed that they don't have a TXS version (as yet) from either 0-6-0.

And I like then, and I’m buying (some of them) and I am happy with these, because it’s my hobby. Sorry no sorry.

Seems to me only the lenses are too big. A little bit of black paint might help, or maybe change these.

Mine is at Neville Grove for renaming and weathering, when it arrives in Belgium I'll look into it, I have some ideas about making a double chimney myself.

I appreciate your opinion, and get what you’re meaning. For me, it’s just the other way around, a steam loco with steam, even fake, is much more ‘real’ to me. I’ve always felt so, from a child on, my fathers LGB steamer with, were always my favourites. When I converted a plastic model a Flower corvette to RC, I included a Seuthe. Model railways are always a fine balance between trade-offs and personal preference. I almost didn’t start in OO because of the wrong gauge, but other railways just didn’t had that high appeal. For me, fake steam wins over no steam. So I’m waiting with impatience on my PoW/Highland Chieftain and pre-ordered a generator-fitted Earl Marichal. You’re not spoiling my enjoyment, I agree with your arguments. I’ll just gonna (politely) ignore them and play with my electrical driven steam engines that emit water vapor.

These are easily made with some evergreen or an old bank card. I’m not a Southern man, but I seem to remember most Q1 were black? So painting won’t be hard either.

In the Q&A afterwards they showed the first mouldings, so they did advance beyond 3D.

The designer of these (forgot his name) said that he had to design 32 coaches to have all 4 versions, apart from the observation Cars. To my shame, I don't know what those four versions are. Is the one above one of those?

I don’t have an upgrade, so the HM7000 system was by far the easiest and cheapest way. The number of functions on a multimaus are more limited, and for sound don’t give the type. Just a gimmick, but nice to have. Changing locos is also easier. I have about 30 chipped locos, when I only run a couple on the layout, it’s very easy with HM7000, you disable all the others, so switching is child’s play. If I’m running a non-sound loco alone, I sometimes use the multimaus, still prefer the knob above the virtual slide bar or speedbuttons. For programming the TXS decoders, I also prefer the app, you can see all the CV’s in a blink, and can just write them on the track (apart from CV1). And that’s handy since I have PIKO A-rails. The app isn’t too bad, especially on IOS (don’t like it on Android, but could be my old phone too). How do you compare it to the z21 app?

Good question, I only know that the railroads are quite old (Lima stock?) and the dummy has no lights, not even pick-ups. I think the powered car only has simple white lights. I haven't seen a TT one in the flesh, so no idea detail wise.

I don't think that's a fair comparison, the OO-sets are Railroad.

Well, I decided against TT for the moment, because not enough time. But a TT Class 92 would be hard to say no to!

FYI, Accurascale has their first TT set in stock. It’s their Research team, also avaible in OO.

So, Hornby is halfway there after 18 months.

I use the Humbrol-copy Clear. While I'm not a fan of the matt version, the gloss Clear paints and sprays well, and if you use it in a lot of layers, gives a nice dept.

It wasn't, and what was also strange, both Profile ROM Version and Boot ROM Version were v0.0, although I am 100% I did update these. So I unlinked and deleted, and started again. Now my B12 is chuffing nicely around the layout, both on app as with the z21. I still have a problem with another, I can change the cv's with my z21, but they don't move, or make a sound. So when I'm of work later today, I'll do the same as above. Thanks for the help!

I have, strangely enough, just the opposite problem. My B12 doesn’t run on BT. I didn’t think about testing it on my DCC controller, so I took it apart and cleaned all the wheels and contacts before the penny dropped. It works like a charm with my z21, but nothing with the app.
