  1. Someone after my own heart. Eastern Region represent!
  2. I don't know. My luck at toy fairs has been pretty good, though admittedly less for model rail stuff...
  3. Yep. Just the par for the course around here. The thing that annoys me more is that the numbers don't match on the side tank and the bufferbeam.
  4. It's entirely possible that was what they were going for.
  5. Well those are interesting. Great finds, Hackworth! That Germanised Hiawatha is particularly interesting. Wonder what inspired its creator to do that.
  6. I'm back with another selection of eBay goodies I've discovered. Pictures as always are linked, and as always let me know if you end up with any of these as I love to hear the ongoing adventures of the stuff I find to show on here. This is an interesting beast, sold by judith1951-2009. Got to love a freelance goods engine. I am very tempted to buy this myself, it is a lovely looking 2-8-0. Also from Judith is this lovely Crystal Palace tank which I am very, VERY tempted by. I mean it's me with Great Eastern stuff, of course I am. And another by Judith. This 0-4-0T is adorable, though that tiny wheelbase worries me somewhat. And time for a HETCi rather than a LETCI. These motorised ERTL Peter Sam and Rusty in RWS livery by aisgillbox are absolutely gorgeous. Just a shame the Sir Handel and Duncan in the background already seem to be gone so I can't also put them up.
  7. Great North Eastern & Central Railway? I approve wholeheartedly and look forward to seeing it Alex!
  8. Hey, it's kitbashing in my eyes. Though it is your own initial creation so you're correct that it's not exactly relevant to Wild Kitbash.
  9. That appears to be a first-year Hornby Thomas face. Still, more effort put into this one than most of the Thomas attempts we've seen on here. Also those water cannons seem very familiar. Might have to take a look at my Transformers collection.
  10. Very smart engine. I'm always a fan of unusual wheel arrangements, and 4-6-0T is certainly one you don't see much.
  11. Yes, usually via bizarre fatality.
  12. My newest post brings me to this from my previous major post. This is to everyone who's on here who bought or owns a model featured on this thread. To celebrate 4 years of Wild Kitbash, let's do a Where Are They Now. Which model did you end up with, what happened to it and where is it now or what does it look like. With photos please! Just thought it could be fun.
  13. A brother to my No.10, perhaps? This is a large scratchbuilt 00 4-6-0T by judith1951-2009. (Using smaller images to save upload space on the post, then I can get more in!) It's a pretty thing. Judith has a couple other scratchbuilt 00 locos as well, but this one caught my eye the most as a freelance design. The others look to be an E4 and an I1. Images linked as always. Next up are these two very nice 00 station buildings by the aptly named mustspendless. (I can relate to that username!) rocketrailways, which has appeared on here quite a few times if I recall, provides us with this very nice grounded coach that reminds me a bit of the carriage cottage at Holt Station on the NNR (depicted below.) Another returning item maker, this time the incredibly talented clairegilmore75 and her gorgeous scratchbuilt buildings. Considering she has been here multiple times before, she needs no introduction. Well, I guess some things never change. It's a Hornby D Class with Thomas' face. Yawn. This is a bit more effort though. A Bachmann Crab painted up as James. Numbers and lettering are a bit iffy (being literally paper glued to the bodywork) but the paint itself is actually pretty solid.
  14. I honestly can't see any reason why it wouldn't be feasible, even if not exactly an ideal method.
  15. Seconded. That or a Corriedale, but they tend to be a bit "fluffier".
  16. Actually yeah, let's follow this up with some of the weird and wonderful items gostude has at the time of writing: The illicit lovechild of a Nellie and a Jinty - - and its apparent paternal half-sibling, this little industrial that needs a bit of TLC and its smokebox reseating, Tram-Pug, Tram-Pug's big brother, someone Colonel Stephens has put out Missing posters for, and Good Lord, you again?
