  1. Thanks for this, it looks very useful! With regard to the BSK/BTK-CK formations, did these run alone (i.e. with a brake compartment at only one end), or were they used to form larger services?
  2. Hi all, Quick prototype question - in what formations were the Southern Region MK1 BCKs used? I presume it woud be something like BSK-BCK or BCK-SK-BSK, but guidance (possibly with photographs too) would be very helpful! Many thanks!
  3. Hi all, I have a bit of an odd question. As you may already know, some track in tunnels / covered stations isn't ballasted. I was wondering what the border between the ballasted and unballasted track would look like, and if anyone had any ideas and/or experience in how to model such a scenario? Many thanks in advance.
  4. Hi Ian, thanks so much. I've been doing some research into what undercarriage damage usually occurs in these situations, and as many of the photographs of wagons similar to mine are old and grainy, these have provided a clear and useful hint to what I need to cut out/warp. However, I'm sure the recovery method for my wagon would have been slightly different back in LMS days!
  5. I was looking around the railway room the other day for some old bits to use for my cakebox diorama, and came accross an old LMS milk wagon that I'd bought a few years back, for no other reason than it was cheap. Upon taking it out the box, one of the wheelsets fell out, giving me the idea of using this wagon in some sort of 'accident' scene. With a bit of playing around, I manaed to get the wagon positioned (using the broken wheel as a support) as if it was in the process of derailing itself on a set of points, and then mounted those points on a small baseboard made from a rectangle from a cardboard box, with a piece of foamboard on top. This is as far as I've got so far, if anyone has any suggestions for things to add, they would be more than welcome. The wagon: On the point: The point on the baseboard:
