  1. Yes hello. The photo's come specifically from British Railway Journal No.54. The second half of the line's focus is in the 55th Journal, but only features one photograph of No.89 from behind
  2. Came across a couple more images of WD J67/69's from a 2 part magazine covering the Cairnryan railway Loco's present appear to be WD 81,82 & 88 (Ex- LNER No's.7197, 7168 & 7344) They are pictured in 1942.
  3. Came across some more WD Pictures of Ex-LNER J69 No.7088, though with far smaller WD lettering and only a 2 digit number rather than the full 5 digit number. Probably a bit niche but I feel they look interesting.
  4. I recall one of the recent Model Rail magazines including a revised list of Class 12's. They removed the BR Green Weathered livery and altered the numbers. I'm not 100% on it but I believe the Class 12's numbers and liveries are now as such: BR Black Early Crest No.15220 (15223 on website) BR Green Early Crest No.15224 (Formerly BR Black No.15235) BR Green Late Crest Wasp Stripes No.15221 (15224 on website) BR Blue Wasp Stripes No.15212 & Tilston Light Blue Wasp Stripes No.15231 Photo for reference:
  5. I don't think I've seen anyone ask about this yet. The Destination Boards shown on the 3D sample and the Illustrations. Are they permanently fitted or can you swap them out for different destinations? I didn't see anything mentioned about it in the listed features of the model on the website.
  6. That and the Bufferbeam still retains the LNER Font No. and Number. It's a bit hard to spot due to how dirty it is.
  7. L&NER Lined Black one is listed on BR Database as having been shedded at Norwich. And possibly Melton Constable.
  8. Never seen that Picture of BIS No.1 before. I know that a lot of the WD ones went to Industry, two going to BIS, but the only ones I've been able to find images on have been the Metal Industries Ltd ones. Being 7054(1), 7056(2), 7058(4) and 7274 (1st No.3), 7167(2nd No.3 originally no.5)
  9. I've got some more I can suggest for sure. Some more unique than others. First two are Wartime liveries, though the 2nd one is a bit more unique as the Bufferbeam (presumably both sides) has been painted white, for purposes listed alongside the image. The other 3 (There was a 4th one, Will follow it up in another post) are in hybrid LNER/BR Liveries with the BR Number either in BR Font or in LNER Font. Again some unique liveries that would be fun to see replicated on the models if they end up being done. All images are from Yeadon's Guide.
  10. One Livery that would be fun to see in one of the later batches is the BR Departmental Livery. It's a bit more obscure but multiple J69's were in Departmental service. No.43 seems to have retained it's Early Crest but No.44 and 45 are pictured without. I'm sure concessions can be made about the placement of the number plate since it differs between 44 and 45. I can't quite tell where it's placed on No.43. All 3 Photographs are from the Yeadon's Guide.
  11. Photographs of 68646 seem to show the crest facing the right way. Perhaps it was fixed at some point? Yeadon's did note however that some J69 or J67's that got the Late Crest didn't have them fixed and were withdrawn with the wrong crest. 68619 was given the wrong facing late Crest when repainted into Lined BR Black, but it was fixed when painted into the Blue livery we are getting.
  12. Happy to see this announcement. Already went for the L&NER Lined Black livery. Going to be fun seeing what future liveries are done. WD Would be a nice one to see. 13 loaned to the WD in '39 and then they bought some the next year. Another benefit is that the Wisbech Bogie coaches Rapido are doing can be paired with these as well as the J70's.
  13. My NCB 1607 arrived this morning. Lovely little model.
  14. Since it's a 4-6-2 and not a 2-8-2 anymore. No I don't think it would be authentic
  15. I don't suppose Hornby has any spares available for it yet.
  16. Well my own 60505 arrived in the post today. Was rather amused to find that the smokebox was loose from the body instead of the top lamp bracket as I had assumed going off previous experience from other people in here. A Tender Handrail was also loose but they have been refitted now. Some visible glue marks for the doors on the tender but I intend on getting the loco weathered so those errors will be covered up with no issue.
  17. Looks like the missing lamp bracket to me. I assume it must've come loose in the box and they just placed it there for fitting on again
  18. A shame the quality of the images of the finished models don't fully depict them in the correct light. Hopefully their pictures are updated at some point. For the valve gear I suppose it will certainly be a wait and see if anyone else gets a similar issue. I mean each company has at least one or two slightly faulty loco's that manage to make it to public release. The Cab is certainly an interesting case, but as you have shared, is not something that has happened just to this A2/2.
  19. Kernow appears to display the fact the A2/2's are in stock. Should get notified about my order soon hopefully.
  20. Yeah Hornby's website has had a few teething troubles. And not just with release dates. Some of the items were listed with the web link of another product and the incoming Maunsell coaches have a 5 pole motor. At least the light is nearing the end of the tunnel so to speak for these loco's. Will certainly be nice to see these running trains on layouts soon.
  21. The first A2/3's are due in this coming month. From what it said on Kernow's newsletter, they were expecting the BR Early and Late Crest examples first and didn't say anything about the LNER pair.
  22. Another shop near me seems to have the A2/2's in stock as well. https://www.model-junction.co.uk/product-category/new-arrivals/page/2/ Maybe Jan 31st for some shops but next week for others? If Hattons is due a Hornby shipment next week then it might come in that.
  23. I suppose that's a good sign if the Senior member reassured you on delivery. The fact that both 60501 and 60505 sold out to Pre-orders on Hattons could mean a lot of people are interested in it, which might well mean another run. But I suppose we shall have to wait and see. Looks like Feb is going to be a bit busy for me when it comes to loco arrivals, if things are still released on time.
