  1. Shame to see the old Oban station in that state. Love the wrap around windows on the 303's, I think they ruined their front appeal when then replaced them. Andy.
  2. Do what we did, donate it to a local cycling charity. They will be grateful whatever the condition. One of ours had the gears go into the back wheel at about 30mph. Luckily it kept upright! No Spandex here, just cycle clips!
  3. Don't feel sorry for gingers, we can hold our own in most situations. Hardly shy. TV, Book etc.
  4. Shall we run a book on how long it takes the Taliban to! How many brothers have not had some sort of punch up?
  5. Dave. I can almost hear the clanking of the 8F! And the Holyhead, all Maroons, fantastic. Andy.
  6. 2nd Opens, SC 1466, 71,79, 82, 84, 89, 95, 98, 1500, 02 & 04 S, were transferred to Scotland. I have read somewhere that they were all painted Maroon before transfer.
  7. Pempoul. Better than nearly all British themed models. Take a look.
  8. Where are the Maroon ones transferred to the Scr region?
  9. Another Elton one. "Don't let your sun go down on me" I can't show the photo!
  10. Funnily enough I am reading Terry Essery's book at the moment. He has only got to the banking link at the moment, so you have ruined the Carlisle runs for me now! Only joking this is the third time I am reading it and I find some of it funnier and entertaining every time.
  11. Dave. As others have said, thanks for your postings, and have a Merry Christmas and a good New Year. If it is 43807 as 'Market65' states, it was a 1906, Deeley 3F, later re-built by Fowler with a Belpaire boiler. It was allocated to 15C Leicester in 1952, but had gone by 1955. (info' from Combines and Locoshed Books). Andy. (I have got nothing better to do on Christmas Eve).🎅
  12. LNER Sentinels had a number 54 see, https://www.lner.info/locos/Y/y1y3.php The photos are from opposite sides, but it may be the same loco.
  13. Whisky and clear head, that does not correlate.
  14. Probably sick of the smell of it!
  15. Here are a few pictures of Hadley Green. It is now with the East Ham club. The original builders were Rob Davey, Richard Wilson and Brian Diprose. The layout has suffered some damp problems and needs a fair bit of work.
  16. Ironical thing about the 25w Antex is that the wires are soldered to the terminals inside the body. How do you re-wire if you have not got a second soldering iron?😁
  17. Trouble is most of the world cannot understand what the hell he is going on about! Hat, Coat, Door, over Offa's Dyke. Try "gett i fu ya bassa". (Completely understandable). 🙂
  18. When I fell off the wall I was at the left end of it, luckily or not, depending which way you look at it!
  19. Should a member of the Brethren also be an arm chair modeller?
